“A very pleasant and comfortable property” This property was very well equipped and all the kitchen utensils etc were in good condition which made cooking very easy. The double bed was very comfortable with good quality bedding Although there is a bus stop just outside the property and it is possible to walk to the nearest pub/restaurant (The Hinchcliffe Arms) or down the hill to the shops, it is a bit of a hike. I would therefore recommend a car. There is ample off road parking The welcome folder had a lot of information with details of local walks and there were also a number of books on Hebden Bridge and the surrounding area. The pre-arrival information email also provided a lot of information and helped us plan some of our days out in advance, one of which was a trip to the National Coal mining museum near Wakefiled - something we would probably have missed knowing about if details hadn't been included in this correspondence The wine, chocolates, flowers and milk as a welcome pack were a very nice touch and Helen call round on our 2nd day to ensure we had everything we needed.

“Fantastic break” Very relaxing 4 night break. Amazing views and very friendly hosts. Very clean cottage and exceptionally comfortable beds. Great walks direct from the cottage and lots of lovely places to visit locally. Planning to return.

“yorkshire heaven” beautiful cottage in beautiful cobbled street with fantastic quirky shops fantastic cottage exterior/interior with everything you need 6 pubs within 200 yards of property with lovely meals being served this would have received a 5 star rating if not for the parking situation you can not park outside the property and have to park at top of the hill(nearest car park)which cost a reasonable £4 per day between 8am and 6pm the problem with this is that you have to get up early to walk up the hill to either move your vehicle or pay for another ticket which is a shame if like me you like a lie in on your holidays and not having to set that dreaded alarm

“Charming, cosy and comfortable cottage with great views” We were so pleased when we turned up at Rose Cottage. It was so charming, warm and cosy, with many original features. It was very well equipped and warm - plus a great shower, comfortable bed and good heating. The area was pretty and close to Ilkley, where we did our shopping. Also easy access to the Yorkshire Dales, seeing as it was based on the edge of the dales. The weather was reasonable, but tv was there for lazy evenings. Altogether a relaxing and comfortable stay. “Great place to stay” Old chapel school house was the perfect place to stay. It was spotlessly clean, nicely furnished, comfortable, spacious and light - with everything we could possibly need. Shirley was really welcoming and thoughtful. Good location, nice views across the valley, lovely and peaceful. Would definitely recommend it.

“Cosy Cottage, warm welcome” Had a lovely few days at Old Town Hall Cottages. Received a lovely warm welcome from Stuart. Cottage was nice and warm on a arrival, just what you after a day of travelling! Cottage was in a great location, although weather wasn't great we still managed a lovely walk to the nearby Hardcastle Crags. Shame we only had two nights there, so much more of the area to see. Went to the nearby Robin Hood pub. Good food, generous portions! Lynda and Stuart were great hosts and they have a lovely cottage that we would definitely love to return to!

“Beautiful luxurious cottage in a fantastic location” We visited Tyas Cottage in august this year for a short break and had a wonderful time. The cottage is really well fitted out (everything you could need, whether it's equipment in the kitchen or a basket of logs for the log burning stove) has been well thought through. The cottage is cosy and luxurious (esp the four poster bed)!! Lovely countryside right on the doorstep that's just waiting to be explored and total peace and quiet - pure bliss! Especially loved the beautiful fresh flowers from the garden - many thanks!! Don't hesitate to book!
