The Stables is a converted barn set in a super rural setting, yet close to many amenities. It is a perfect base to access the huge amount of activities which can be found locally. Whilst The Stables is a modern conversion, with many home comforts, we have tried to retain the character of the property with exposed beams and stained glass windows.

The property is accessed through electric gates thus offering secure parking for cars and bikes. (We can give you your own zapper). Outside you will have use of a private area, with table and chairs and use of a BBQ. Inside (accessed by a charming outside staircase), you will find a huge open plan area. This incorporates a snooker table (which also doubles up as a table tennis table).

The modern fitted kitchen has a ceramic hob and oven, microwave, fridge and freezer. There is a dining area with table and four chairs with views over open countryside. Tea, coffee and sugar are provided.

The property is heated with modern electric heaters.

The lounge has 2 double sofas (one of which is a spring loaded sofa bed). There is a 40" flat screen TV with freeview channels and DVD player. There is a CD radio, plenty of interesting books, DVDs and family games.

The double bedroom looks out over the gardens and has a dressing table and fitted wardrobe. Towels and bedlinen are included.

The bathroom comprises of a WC, handbasin and newly fitted corner shower unit.

A welcome pack awaits your arrival including home made biscuits or cakes.

Getting around

A car is your best bet to get around. However, we are only 8 minutes from Kidderminster train station. There are buses running locally too. We can give you further details on request.

Interaction with guest

We will meet you when you arrive to show you around and give you the keys, also a zapper for the electric gates. We are close by and available for any advice for what to do or places to visit, but we do not intrude and leave you to enjoy your holiday!

Very Good

“Working accommodation during the pandemic”

We needed somewhere self contained to stay whilst we worked in bham for a fortnight. We contacted the stables and they were very understanding of our plight to find accommodation during a lockdown! Of course, as we live in Devon and needed to work in bham for 2 weeks, it was fully in line with government regulations for us to rent accommodation... Chris and Mark were very accommodating! We wanted certain things and we got these and more.... We wanted somewhere comfortable to rest our tired heads after long days work.... we got a gorgeous comfortable home with snuggly bed and a lovely lounge! We wanted somewhere self contained to cook our own dinner on the nights..... we got an amazing kitchen with every bit of kitchen ware you could wish for and more - Chris even dropped us over some homemade soup and bread m which was very much required and was delicious! They are such thoughtful, warm hosts :) there a laundry room downstairs also which is ideal for longer stays like ours. We wanted somewhere safe.... we got gated entrance with gorgeous grounds which we and our pouches loved! There’s a little wood, and the most gorgeous gardens you have ever seen :) we had plenty of parking too. We wanted somewhere clean... the place is spotless! It’s warm and it’s snuggly. Chris and Mark really have thought of everything. What we didn’t expect.... amazing pool and table tennis table to help destress us after a long days work! Lovely little extras left for us when we arrived (cake and groceries). Board games, books, DVDs... spare bedding, loads of fluffy towels... even down to dog poop bags! These guys really are the perfect hosts. I feel as if we are leaving having made friends and having found somewhere that, once the pandemic is over, we can stay when we often visit family in bham and Kidderminster. Somewhere away from the rat race of bham but close enough to get there in 30 mins. Thank you both so much for a wonderful stay! Chrissy and Erol xx

“Beautiful Place”

The Stables, Wolverley, Kidderminster, Worcestershire. A wonderful place with wonderful owners, Chris and Mark. love the barn fitted with everything you could want. When you arrive home made biscuits plus bread, butter, milk, tea coffee surge. but the best is the lovely welcome. You have all the grounds to walk around and a woods. Bikes there for your use and main other things. lots to do in the surrounding areas pubs and walks. A lovely fitted out barn and made full use of the pool and table tennis too.

A truley gem of a place. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful setting and then walking into the converted barn so spacious and welcoming. Meeting Chris and Mark just added to this truly special place. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Mark and Chris (the owner) a message.

If Mark and Chris (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
