Description

The Stables is a converted barn set in a super rural setting, yet close to many amenities. It is a perfect base to access the huge amount of activities which can be found locally. Whilst The Stables is a modern conversion, with many home comforts, we have tried to retain the character of the property with exposed beams and stained glass windows.
The property is accessed through electric gates thus offering secure parking for cars and bikes. (Small deposit to have use of own zapper to control gates). Outside you will have use of a private area, with table and chairs and use of a BBQ. Inside (accessed by a charming outside staircase), you will find a huge open plan area. This incorporates a snooker table (which also doubles up as a table tennis table).
The modern fitted kitchen has a ceramic hob and oven, microwave, fridge and freezer. There is a dining area with table and four chairs with views over open countryside. Tea, coffee and sugar are provided.

The double bedroom looks out over the gardens and has a dressing table and fitted wardrobe. Towels and bedlinen are included.
The bathroom comprises of a WC, handbasin and newly fitted corner shower unit.
A welcome pack awaits your arrival including home made biscuits or cakes.

The England region

The Stables is located in Wolverley, a small village in between Kidderminster and Stourbridge. We are within walking distance to three pubs, 2 of which are in the village of Wolverley itself, which also offers 2 delightful tearooms. There is a pitch and putt close by and four golf courses all within a 15 minute drive.
Local attractions include Bodenham Arboretum, Severn Valley Railway running from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth along the River Severn, West Midland Safari Park, the Stourbridge Glass Quarter. The National Trust properties of KInver Edge Rock Houses and Kinver Edge itself, and Dudmaston Hall are close by. The River Severn can be easily accessed from here and is good for canoeing and fishing, subject to appropriate licences. The Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal runs through Wolverley providing miles of towpath walking or cycling. The North Worcestershire path can be accessed close by. A little further afield is Ironbridge, Wolverhampton, Worcester and Birmingham.
Bowls are available to use, as well as access to a green.
There are many beautiful walking areas close by including Kinver Edge, Severn Valley Country Park, Clent Hills, Clee Hill and even Malvern and The Long Mynd are within an hour's drive.

There are numerous restaurants and takeaways all close by.

“A wonderful place to spend a few days”

We have stayed here several time now. It's clean, comfortable, welcoming and in a lovely rural setting - yet only a few minutes away from the main road and the towns of Kidderminster and Stourbridge. On top of all the normal facilities you might expect it also has a snooker table and a table tennis top - great fun, and one of those little extras that makes all the difference. The owners, Mark and Chris, are absolutely lovely and a pleasure to deal with. We will be back again and will happily recommend The Stables.
