Description from owner

Description

Live the country life in this charming tile-hung cottage. The views from the windows overlook downland and woodland. From the gate, walk straight onto a myriad of footpaths leading in various directions – all with beautiful vistas. The area abounds with wildlife, including deer, badgers, buzzards and red kites. There are many varieties of owls in the area which are a delight to listen to in the early evening. Although the surroundings are the countryside at its best, there are two fully stocked and excellent village stores within a short drive, plus easy access to the main cities of Chichester and Portsmouth and all the attractions they offer. Inside this 4 star cottage, oak beams offset the recently refurbished interior of this well-equipped, attractive accommodation. No attention to detail has been overlooked, from the pretty patchwork quilts in the bedrooms, to the authentic Indian carpets on the floors and the sleek lines of the bathroom with its power shower.

Location description from owner

The England region

West Marden is a small rural village in central southern England, nestled in the South Downs National Park. The climate is mild and Spring, Summer and Autumn here each have their own unique characters. Everything is fresh green and blossomming in the Spring, whilst the Summer sees the crops ripening and ready for harvest. The Autumn colours are a delight as the summer draws to a close. This part of England offers plenty for visitors to see and do, from seaside activities, to the Historic Docks, Museums, National Trust properties, Sailing, Shopping and eating at the Internationally reknown Gunwharf Quays, walking in the Downs, Motor and Horse Racing at Goodwood, fine dining, Chichester Theatre... the list goes on. Only just over an hours drive/train ride to London and all its attractions (2012 Olympics?)
