Description

This beautifully renovated barn is situated in a delightful rural position with views uphill to the pretty English village of Brill with its historic windmill. The barn comfortably accommodates 4 people with room for a fifth if necessary on a futon (under 12 years only). Set in 10 acres, there is plenty of room to stretch your legs and to park vehicles. Ox House is ideally situated for easy access to London, Oxford, the Cotswolds, Bicester Village shopping and the many activities that are available in the area for adults, teenagers and children.

Please be aware that in this rural location there are livestock nearby which need feeding - therefore the farmer may be visible occassionally in the vicinity.

“Amazing stay!”

We stayed at Ox House for two nights but it certainly wasn't long enough, this place is beautiful! Jane and Derek were brilliant hosts and so helpful. We would highly recommend staying here. It's a beautiful conversion with stunning surrounding areas - the perfect place to relax and escape the city life. We will hopefully be returning in the future! Thank you Jane and Derek :)

“Pure luxury and a perfect escape with beautiful scenery, a perfect get-away”

We had the most amazing couple of days in this beautiful barn conversion, which was so well equipped. We just couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely be coming back. Would highly recommend the pointer pub in Brill village. The food and service was top class. Thank you Jane and Derek as you made our stay pure bliss. It was lovely to meet you both and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Lovely setting, and the perfect spot to relax. The home is decorated as beautifully as a magazine set. The kitchen was a joy to cook in. The owners were incredible! Very friendly and helpful. We will certainly be returning.

“The perfect get away…”

Prior to Booking: The owners of Ox House made making our booking easy, hassle free and efficient. Jane who handled our enquiry from start to finish was extremely helpful, explaining everything that would be required to secure our booking, answering all of our questions, and, ensuring that she was in a position to offer us what we were looking for. Booking form was easy to complete and Jane confirmed receipt of funds promptly – which is always a relief. Arrival: Jane had provided a good level of detail, the map was clear and driving instructions easy to follow. One note would be that the sign for Ox House can be missed, as you drive by it, if the nearby hedge is needing a trim, or, if you are not watching out for it. Never the less, we found the property just where it aught to be, and, keys etc easily located as per the clear directions given in advance. Ox House is simply stunning, as a barn conversion the Architects are to be commended on their work. The property looks simply perfect from outside, and, the surrounding scenery is Picturesque with a hint of majestic simplicity. The local environment is both peaceful and charming, offering fantastic views across the countryside, a real escape from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. Staying at Ox House: The home is especially well appointed, the information provided by the owners for guests really does understate the enormous effort that has clearly been put into making this property a home. This truly is a “labour of love” as has been written, with fine attention to detail and all the amenities needed to mean you’d never need to leave the home if you did not wish to. Whilst quintessentially traditional, the home boasts a subtle yet impressive array of modern touches to compliment any stay; from a Sonos Play5 sound system to good quality WiFi internet which we had no issues using whilst staying. The log burning fire was a real treat and added the perfect touch to our evenings. Jane had left a welcome pack which included far more than the essentials. Ox House comes fully supplied with everything you might need to make yourself at home, but, as with everything its the attention to detail and – the little things, that make a stay memorable. Ox House certainly was this for us, and, we’ll be back! Surrounding Area: The local area offers perfect walking territory, with two excellent local public houses both offering friendly locally sourced food to a mind blowing quality. We very much enjoyed walking through the fields, sitting out on the decking and even relaxing in the living area. Bottom Line: If you are looking to relax, take it easy, lose yourself in a picture perfect home without travelling for hours upon end, but also like the little things in life that make living that little more comfortable, then Ox House is your perfect get away… Neil Barnfather MBE

Why can't I call Jane (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jane (the owner) a message.

If Jane (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
