“A great apartment in a great location!”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2015

The Loft is a lovely apartment over 3 floors. I really appreciated the fact it had three equally nice ensuite double rooms - no arguments about who goes where - and the double garage as parking would be tricky in central Southport. It is in a central location but quiet at night. Some of us arrived by train and the station is only 5 or 6 minutes walk away, and it was easy to reach by car. Key collection and check out was made very easy. Would certainly come back.

Thanks for your comments, look forward to seeing you again.

“The Loft revisited”

Reviewed 13 Jul 2015

The Loft is our home away from home in Southport. The convenience of being right off Lord Street is fantastic especially with a two car garage. With 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, we had three different sets of family and friends visit us. No air con at the Loft but with the windows open for a breeze even the hottest day was ok. The owner placed a fan for our comfort.

Thank you for your comments, see you again next year!

“Excellent location fantastic apartment.”

Reviewed 19 May 2015

Stayed 4 nights here for a conference/leisure combined. It was in the perfect location for us, being right in the heart of the town. Plenty of bars restaurants and shops all around. The accommodation itself was fantastic. A very well done conversion, with very big bright and airy rooms. All had excellent bathroom/en suite facilities, the Jacuzzi bath in particular was a fantastic touch. All the fittings and finishes are of a high standard, and the kitchen was adequately stocked with the obvious requirements. The lounge, dining and kitchen areas are all very well laid out, and excellent for entertaining. We had a party of 7 friends over for lunch and there was plenty of room and lots of comments about the apartment. Would gladly recommend this place, and fully intend to return again next year.

Thank you for your comments and good to hear you enjoyed the Jacuzzi! See you again next year. Regards Lyn

“No other place in Southport to stay”

Reviewed 1 Apr 2015

We love Southport as it is my husband's hometown and it is quintessential English seaside town. We have stayed at the Ramada before, which was pleasant enough for a hotel. The Loft offers you so much more than a posh hotel for the same price point or less. The beds are so comfy. The jacuzzi bath is gorgeous especially if the weather is a bit chilly. The weathervin Southport truly is more sunny than inland. The Loft is right off Lord Street so a car is not essential. Plenty of living space and the kitchen gives you all of the comforts of home. The sofas are also very comfortable. Many windows so the light comes in even on a cloudy day. Wifi is an easy connection and garage parking tops it all off. We will be back in July. The owner was right there to show us around after our long flight. She was very helpful to us during a stressful time. This visit was due to a family member passing away. The Loft does have steps so certainly not good for young children or the elderly. I loved the lay out as it added privacy and some exercise to make up for all of those lovely meals out. If you are fortunate to book here, you will love it!!!

Thank you for your lovely comments, I look forward to seeing you again soon. Regards Lyn

“Great location”

Reviewed 27 Feb 2015

The Loft could not be better located in the centre of Southport. The place itself has plenty of room. The 3 bedrooms are huge all with their own bathrooms. The garage which forms part of the ground floor has room for 2 cars - so ideal for a large family stay. Importantly for a February half-term stay the heating was perfect. The second floor open plan area comprises a spacious kitchen/dining area and lounge. All mod cons are available so ideal for a week's stay with young children. Tiny things would have made this place absolutely perfect i.e. better lighting in the kitchen/dining/living area - it was somewhat underlit, and more information on how the appartment 'worked' - a detailed booklet. Otherwise an excellent place and worth revisiting.

Thank you for your comments, we confirm that there is a booklet in the kitchen draw including all manuals/ inventory (we will keep it out in future as its possible this was missed). I have a further notice on the side of the fridge including frequently asked questions. We have instructed an electrician to upgrade the lighting in the kitchen area as we understand its not light enough in the kitchen. We hope that you will visit us again in the future and see the improvements made. Regards Lyn

“Great place to stay in centre of Southport, just off Lord Street”

Reviewed 1 Jan 2015

We have just stayed here for the third time between Christmas and New Year with our two young adult sons. It is central and convenient but also quiet as it is on a back street close to Southport's main shopping street, Lord Street. It is very well furnished and maintained- this year there was even a Christmas tree in the living area. We thoroughly recommend for a quality 'hotel- type' experience at an excellent price. We shall be back. Steep steps though, not suitable for the elderly or for really young children.

Thanks for the great review and hope to see you again this year December 2015!

“Great place to stay in an excellent location”

Reviewed 14 Oct 2014

Spacious, bright, relaxing house with large bedrooms, good en-suite bathrooms and it was very useful to have the garage. Being just off Lord Street made it an excellent location to explore Southport and it was not too far for us to drive to Crosby beach to see the Anthony Gormley sculptures.

Hope we will see you again. There are loads of great places to visit near to Southport.

“Wonderful place to stay”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2014

When I was looking for somewhere to rent as a holiday home I kept going back to the Loft as the interior looked fabulous. This turned out to be the case and we had a great time staying in the loft. Would certainly consider going back to the Loft for future holiday breaks.

thanks for your comments, I hope that we will see you again in the future. Regards Lyn

“Clean, comfortable, centrally located”

Reviewed 20 May 2014

Our extended family of over 60 people (most from US) were visiting for a memorial for my mother who was raised in Southport during the 30's & 40's. Southport for most was a distant memory or none coming in, but was certainly a delight for the 4+ days we spent. Wanted to say The Loft was better than anticipated, but the photo's and description did a great job and expectations met anticipation. One difference, bathrooms are hard to show in photo's, better than expected. The location was right off lord street on the south end, convenient to great restaurants, bars and Morrison's (great shopping food store). Lyn was readily available if needed, but we did not. We did extend our stay by 1 day.

Thank you for your great review and I hope to see you again in the future.
