The Edinburgh region
Edinburgh is a modern and old city with much history known for its bagpipes, shortbread, whisky and tartan.
The city is one of the most vibrant, cosmopolitan cities in Europe and is regularly voted as one of the most desirable places to live in the world. The capital is well known arts, culture, sports and attractions and is famous for playing host to the world’s largest arts festival. After dark Edinburgh has a lively nightlife with stylish bars and pubs, restaurants, clubs and live entertainment to rival any European city.
There’s plenty of open spaces with a large number of public parks and green spaces right in the busy city centre. For active types, there's an extensive and varied choice of activities and sports in Edinburgh and the surrounding area. Or if you just want to exercise your wallet, the capital is a great place to shop. This is a city that knows how to be both ancient and modern
With its stunning Georgian and Victorian architecture, and winding medieval streets, it’s easy to see why Edinburgh has been listed as a World Heritage Site. The setting is captivating. Edinburgh Castle dominates the urban skyline, perched atop the crags of an ancient volcano right in the centre of the city.
The apartment could not be better situated to access all that Edinburgh has to offer. During the festival, the whole of the Royal Mile (5 mins walk maximum from the apartment) is devoted to a plethora of wonderful performing arts, street theatre, music etc.

"Great Place-Everything Advertised and More!"
Mark, the property manager, communicated wonderfully before, during and after our stay. The price was reasonable and we were greeted with a bottle of wine on the kitchen counter. Mark's professionalism was extraordinary and he attended to all details to ensure our stay was marvellous! Many thanks!
I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. It was lovely to meet you, Elizabeth and your family. Hope to see you all again on your next trip! Kind Regards Mark

"Spot on as advertised - no nasty surprises, only good ones!"
I know Edinburgh quite well now but have never stayed in the Old Town or at this apartment. It was perfect though, Mark and Gordon saw to everything that we needed. (Even hair straighteners!) Not only is the apartment absolutely as advertised but also the extra lovely touches of real milk, complementary wine and a stash of real coffee meant that we really had everything we needed. Great quality bed linen too - which, let's face it, isn't always a given! Thank you Mark and Gordon for a fab stay - I'll be rebooking for my next visit :)
Thank you for such a great review, we're really pleased you enjoyed the quality of the apartment and Edinburgh. We look forward to your next stay. Kind regards Mark & Gordon

Perfect for 3/4 people. Very convenient location. Friendly and helpful owner who guided us to the local eateries as we arrived mid evening. Lovely thoughtful touches like the wine and shortbread and a vase of flowers to mention a few. So much better than 2 hotel rooms.
Thanks for your comments, I hope you all had a great time at the wedding. See you next time your in Edinburgh I hope. Kind Regards Mark

"Perfect location for visiting the Edinburgh Festival"
This was our second stay in the apartment, after visiting last year, and probably won't be our last. The landlord is very friendly and helpful. The apartment is in an ideal location for tourists and was clean and spacious. In short, perfect for our needs. Highly recommended.
Thanks for taking the time to review us and so glad you enjoyed your stay. Look forward to seeing you again.

"Perfect old town location for an Edinburgh break"
The location of this flat is perfect for Edinburgh and Fringe festival-goers, being very close to all the main venues and with the advantage of being very quiet as it is in a side street. The booking and admin was very easy to and the owner fantastically flexible about our arrival time, happy to keep in touch with us by text on the day and to fit in with our plans. The flat was spacious, well equipped, comfortable and clean, and the welcome bottle of wine a very nice touch. Located on the 4th floor, there is no lift so you need to be OK with stairs. We would definitely recommend this accomodation.
Glad you enjoyed your stay and thanks so much for taking the time to post your review. Much appreciated.
