- Very Good
Couldn't be happier about our stay at this apartment. The place was well furnished and immaculate. Lynne had even provided a small Christmas tree, which was lovely. We were met at the front door by Lynne who let us in and showed us where everything was, how the heaters worked etc. and was very helpful providing instructions and directions on how to find the place from the airport etc.when I was arranging our travel. The location was ideal for our week long stay for our son's wedding with shops and the bustle of Princes St. and the Christmas Fair just around the corner. The only, slight caveat, is that this is a busy part of Edinburgh and the revelers passing by after closing time can be quite noisy, but not so much as to prevent sleep. Highly recommended.
“Location, location, location”
Great location! Quiet but in the centre. Flat was lovely, clean and well kept. Bed was really comfortable.
“Perfect location in Edinburgh”
This was our first trip to Edinburgh, so I was simply guessing at what might be a good location for touring the city. I got very lucky with this apartment, in every way. It is located on Rose in New Town, which is full of pubs and restaurants; for young people, it's full of life. It is a block off Princes St. where you can find department stores and everything else. It is a block below George, where you can find chic shops and restaurants. You are just down the hill from spectacular views of the Castle, and you can get up to Old Town via Playfair Steps or up the hill. Tour buses will pick you up within a block. It's perfect! The apartment itself is clean, modern, and comfortable. Everything you need is there, and that extends even to coffee and tea, a thoughtful welcome after a long flight in! We had a lazy morning or two just lounging and reading, and felt very much at home. Lynne, the manager, was extremely helpful and friendly even before our trip, answering questions not just about the apartment, but Edinburgh in general. The apartment was as described and shown, and we were happy with it for our two weeks in the city. Two caveats: there are 45 steps up to the apartment, so be sure you can manage that climb, which isn't bad compared to the rest of Edinburgh's hills! Second, weekend nights can be noisy late, so if you want quiet, stay out of town! We enjoyed the bustle of the charming street, and the shops along it. Overall, we felt we had the perfect place in Edinburgh and we highly recommend the apartment.
“Great selfcatering accommodation in excellent position”
This is a well equipped comfortable apartment very centrally situated. Although it is on a busy pedestrian street filled with pubs and restaurants, noise was not a problem. Supermarkets are close by, as are the main tourist attractions. A car is not necessary.
“Great flat, great location.”
Me and my girlfriend were both very happy with the flat. It had everything we needed and more for our mini break. Best of all for us though was the location; the old town and major tourist attactions were easily walkable and Rose Street and the surrounding area were full of restaurants and bars which were right on our doorstep. Very good value for money!
“Centrally located and family friendly!”
I booked this apartment considering it's location and accomodation for 2 adults and 2 children (5 and7) which it did very comfortably. It had everything that we required including washer/dryer, dishwasher and hairdryer. The beds and luxe linens were extremely comfortable. Wifi worked very well to. Lynne was fantastic in the booking phase and then met us at the property to let us in after a long haul flight which was very much appreciated. I would add that there are 3 flights of stairs leading up to the apartment which is worth considering if you have lots of luggage or equipment to bring up and down however does not take away from the experience at all. I really cannot fault this well located and freshly/luxuriously fitted apartment. It is a pleasure to highly recommend this property in Edinburgh.
