West Highland Apartments are situated on the first floor. You will be welcomed by a traditional Scottish 'Close' gaining access to the front door from two flights of stairs, around 20 in total. The apartment has been refurbished with the traveller in mind, but also being careful to retain some of the original Victorian features.
The apartment has a new kitchen, including oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine and fridge. There is also a dining table in the bay window for four people to enjoy a home cooked meal. If cooking at home isn't your thing, there are several restaurants within 100 metres for you to enjoy stunning Scottish food, or just a drink. Garvies restaurant is 15 metres from the apartment front door and currently offer any guests at West Highland Apartments 20% off their food bill.
'The Nevis' has two double bedrooms, offering a pair of single beds in the smaller room and a super-king size bed in the master bedroom, for that extra luxury stay. All our beds have Ikea pocket sprung deluxe mattresses. Bedroom two has two standard single beds and use of the main bathroom. Both bedrooms have mirrored wardrobe space and a vanity unit including a hair dryer.
The main living room of the property offers a large 3 seater and 2 seater leather sofas for the weary (or not so weary) traveler to relax. There is a 55" 4K TV with Virgin Fiber if you fancy a movie night.
Access to the galley kitchen is done via the hallway, offering that modern touch in a traditional property.
Milngavie Town Centre currently boasts twelve places to eat and enjoy a coffee: Costa, Fantoosh, Finsbay, Garvies, Café Alba, to name a few. It has over 120 businesses operating from the centre, and its popularity is growing year on year. Milngavie is most recognized for being the start of the West Highland Way, but other walks, including the Clyde Costal Path, also meet in Milngavie.
Throughout the year many events take place in the town including the Highland Games, Cycling Events, Car Events, Milngavie Folk Club, so you will have plenty to choose from on your visit. Don’t forget the stunning Mugdock Country Park or Waterworks for a stroll and a coffee.
