- Very Good
“Welcoming and ideally situated”
The Green provided an ideal place for a reunion of 3 retired nurses. It is well situated for visiting Rutland Water, Stamford, Barnsdale and other local attractions. The village store and pub are a short stroll away, and there are parking spaces in front of the cottage. The cottage was clean and bright, with a lovely conservatory/dining area and access to a garden. All amenities were provided, and we appreciated the welcome pack and fresh flowers that greeted us. Highly recommended.
Owner's reply: We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at The Green and we look forward to welcoming you all again.
“A Real Gem”
We stayed here for a week whilst moving house, just so we had somewhere as a bit of a 'bolthole' so the decorators and plumbers could do some work on our new purchase. This cottage is so well equipped and comfortable, with such a pretty conservatory/diner to the rear overlooking the garden. We really enjoyed returning in the evening after working on the house, or during the day just for a break. The owner, Pat, is so lovely and friendly. We were treated to a 'welcome pack' of local bread and jam, plus biscuits and a lovely bottle of wine. Everything is provided to ensure your stay is perfect.
Owner's reply: We are so pleased that the cottage gave you the chance to relax somewhere comfortable in your time of upheaval.
