“This is a gem by the sea.”

Reviewed 6 Feb 2016

The Beach House is very well appointed, comfortable and warm, attention to detail is fantastic. Very comfortable beds. Excellent kitchen, with a great view of the West Lancs golf course. The owner is very friendly and helpful and left a nice welcome message for us on the blackboard in the kitchen. The location is great for walks on the beach next to the Mersey with views of Liverpool, North Wales and Anthony Gormley's Another Place. It is a short walk to the train to get to Liverpool or Southport. Down side....we had to leave!

“Great Location”

Reviewed 18 Nov 2015

Enjoyed a 5 night stay on visiting Aintree and doing lots of cycling in the area. The accommodation was spotless and everything I needed was provided. Yes the shower room is a little tight but the shower unit itself is more than adequate and there is also a larger toilet downstairs which was useful. Lovely big comfy bed and two large comfy sofas ensure that relaxation is easy to come by especially as it is a very quiet location yet only yards from the gorgeous beach. Lynne who is lovely and very friendly lives next door so very handy if you have any problems or need anything. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the Liverpool/Southport area

“Excellent location on Sefton Coastal Footpath and Blundellsands "Iron Men"”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2015

Stayed for 1 week in Jul. The West Lancashire Golf Club can be seen from the breakfast table. Merseyrail Hall Road station is a short walk away which makes it easy to get into Liverpool and Southport, and to stations along the Sefton Coastal Footpath. Some of the stations give easy access to Top 100 Golf Courses which makes it possible to return to the house without driving (after dining at the club). The footpath and Blundellsands Beach (the "Iron Men", Antony GORMLEYs Another Place) is 150 m from the front door. My wife and I visit the Sefton Coast most years attracted by the racing (Haydock Park and Aintree), golf (Formby Golf Club), and coastal walks. The Beach House is ideally situated for those activities. The house has everything you could reasonably expect and a nice (shared) garden. Lynne was most welcoming. The one downside, a small shower room, is compensated for by location and other features.

“Perfect for a relaxing getaway”

We went for a long relaxing weekend and got exactly that it was a shame about the weather so we didn't go in the hot tub or spend to long down the beach. Lynne was very welcoming and helpful

“The perfect relaxing romantic getaway”

Reviewed 16 Feb 2015

We stayed here for the valentines weekend from Feb 13th-15th. Lynne was helpful, friendly and accomodating throughout, from the information provided prior to booking right through to our last day. The Beach House is decorated to a good standard, with homely touches added throughout adding to its relaxed feel. The bed, pillows and duvet were perfect, adding to the feeling of luxury. The blackout curtains coupled with the blinds made having a lie easy, perfect when a rest is in order. The view from the kitchen is lovely, and the hot tub was a real treat. Plenty of walks round and about, with the sea front minutes away. Plenty of restaurants within easy reach. The Beach House booklet has lots of helpful advice and information to help if neccessary. This more than met our expectations and we would definitely stay here again if we were to return to the area. Definitely deserving of its trip advisor award. Thanks again to Lynne

“Great Location & Accomodation”

Reviewed 31 Mar 2014

The Two of us stayed here with our dog for a couple of midweek nights in a cold March. Lynn dealt with the booking really efficiently. We were pleased with the Beach House when we arrived - warm & cosy, well fitted with a very comfortable & very large bed. The area is quiet at night. The House is almost on Crosby Beach & the station on the Liverpool - Southport line is a short walk away. Food shopping in Crosby, a short drive away. Will return.

“great location for exploring merseyside”

Reviewed 27 Nov 2013

The beach house is located in a lovely residential area overlooking the golf course at the rear and a stone throws away from the beach with its interesting statues! The train station is just down the road with regular trains to Liverpool and Southport so ideal to avoid parking. We just enjoyed a lazy weekend - the house is equipped with everything you need and is decorated in a lovely beach house theme. Would definitely go back there instead of staying in a city centre hotel. Thanks Lynne, hope to return one day.

“Great Location”

Reviewed 5 Nov 2013

We stayed for three nights at The Beach House self catering 31st October - 3rd November 2013. On arrival at The Beach House Lynne the owner gave us a very friendly welcome. We liked the accommodation and the location, the beach was great for walking our dog. We did miss not having a freezer for our ice cream as it is self catering also the heating did not come on for our last night there. It was a easy few minute walk to Hall Rd train station for Liverpool Central and Southport. Without a doubt we hope to go back if Lynne will have us and would recommend this vacation to others. Thank you Lynne

“Nothing negative to say Everything was very good.”

The house was very nicely decorated and all mod cons, nice big comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen, cosy lounge and large screen TV could'nt want for anything more.We enjoyed lovely walks by the sea and our dog loved it too.

“Relaxing picturesque, perfectly furnished and equipped”

Reviewed 13 May 2013

Lovely house located close to the sea and golf course. Perfect for a romantic getaway or for a family with children. Public transport (train) nearby, but using a car is even more convenient. There are shops for purchasing self-catering ingredients or restaurants and take away options all within 10 minutes’ drive.
