Description

Make yourself at home in one of our luxury, visit England gold award winning four star lodges. These fantastic two bedroom lodges were completed in 2017 and offer all you could want for a relaxing stay, nestled next to the South Downs National Park just a short walk from the village of Hurstpierpoint.

From the moment you arrive you will feel at home. Each lodge has a terrace area, with table and chairs. All the accommodation is designed to capture the best of the sun, with the sun setting right in front of you every evening. Where better to relax with a glass of your favourite tipple at the end of the day.

Entering the lodge takes you into the lounge area, with deep leather sofas and armchairs overlooking the terrace. Folding glass doors open to provide "Inside-Out" living, bringing the Sussex countryside right into your living space. Alternatively, turn the world off and relax in front of the TV, play a game or delve into a great book.

From the lounge you move into a kitchen-dining area which is fully equipped with everything you need to make breakfast, lunch or dinner. Of course, the village and a selection of great restaurants and takeaways is only a five minute stroll. if you don't want to cook. All guests receive a welcome pack including: coffee, tea, bread, butter, jam, sugar, milk, cereal and fresh eggs from our own chickens. There' also a treat or two to make afternoon tea all the sweater!

Bedroom one has a large Hypnos double bed and overlooks the South Downs National Park, it's literally a few feet from your bedroom window. White cotton sheets and bedding are all provided to make your stay as peaceful and relaxing as possible. Bedroom two has adult bunk beds, also with white cotton sheets and bedding, to maximise the space and provide a great space for kids of all ages.

The bathroom is beautifully fitted with a walk-in shower that you will love. Soft white towels and bathrobes are provided, so you don't need to pack those.

Getting around

Trains run to London and Brighton from Hassocks station which is only a five minute drive from the site or a thirty minute walk. London is one hour away by train and Brighton is 20 minutes away by train. Hickstead is just five minutes away by car and central Brighton about 25 minutes by car. There is no need to drive to the village it is just a five minute walk away along a tarmac path, infact by the time you find a parking space it would be quicker to walk!

Interaction with guest

Each guest will be meet on arrival, provided with keys to their lodge and given a short tour of the lodge its facilities and The Old Flower Field site. A food welcome pack is provided for each lodge and local maps showing walking routes etc. Each lodge has a book containing local information for guests to read at their leisure: doctors, chemist, dentists, shops, restaurants, pubs, take aways and loads more. Our site office is manned between 0800 and 1800 each day and a mobile number is also provided if you need to get in touch. We are here to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, if you need anything just ask and we will do our best to help you.

House rules

No hen or stag parties are allowed.We lock our gates at 2315 to prevent vehicle movements that will disturb other guests. Any guest that returns after 2315 can park outside our gates in a small parking area, then walk to their lodge using our "kissing gate".We have a dark skies policy that is employed after 2300 so no BBQ or fire pit is permitted after 2300.We do not allow any loud music at any time.We do not accept third party bookings. The person who books our Lodge must be one of the guests.

“Fantastic accommodation”

Brilliant stay.... one of the best places we have stayed. Welcome pack was appreciated and the cake a nice thought. Very clean, close to local village and hosts were friendly and helpful.

Wonderful!!! stayed for the bank holiday weekend and totally loved it, the lodge is equipped with everything (and more) that you could possible need for an enjoyable stay, we even got given a home made drizzle cake on arrival which was delicious. The lodge was pristine, clean and tidy. Shaun was so accommodating and made you feel so welcome. We will definitely return.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
