Idyllic Oak Beamed Cottage On Outskirts Of South Downs National Park, Close To Brighton And Gatwick

Peaceful Setting Near South Downs And Villages Of Hurstpierpoint And Henfield ideal for wonderful walks in and around the South Downs but also easily accessible to the sea, beaches and watersports of Brighton and Shoreham.

The cottage sleeps 10 comfortably with 3 bedrooms with ensuites, 2 bedrooms with two separate bathrooms & a cloakroom.All rooms have Zip&LinkBeds to give flexibility.

A wonderful oak beamed lounge and dining room both with ingenooks, there is a solid oak and granite fully fitted kitchen with breakfast area. The lounge leads onto the patio, overlooking pond with fountain and grounds with footpaths leading to the South Downs National Park.Close to the sea, Brighton, pretty villages of Hurstpierpoint and Henfield, London approximately one hour from Hassocks station and Gatwick 20 minutes away.

Great for family get togethers and celebrations, however we do not accept stag or hen parties unless discussed and agreed in writing by us.

Beautiful large house with clean, well-equipped en-suite bedrooms. Perfect for bride and bridesmaids to prepare for the big day. Large grounds to unwind in afterwards. The hosts, Ruth and John are on hand to answer any needs should you require. I would imagine it to suit large family who are looking for a base for holiday. Recreational equipment all supplied to keep all members of family occupied. A rare find and fully recommended.

The house was lovely; it provided lots of space for a large family gathering. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was so helpful that each bedroom had a bathroom. The table tennis table was a big draw; we would have loved to have used the patio table, overlooking the lovely garden, but perhaps a bit of an ask in February! The location was great. We were in Brighton in less than half an hour. It was nice to walk across he fields towards Albourne. We had a lovely time and we will be back sometime in he future.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Ruth (the owner) a message.

If Ruth (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
