“Perfect getaway spot!”

Reviewed 6 Mar 2018

We had an absolutely lovely time at the piggery. We were warmly welcomed (Jenny even offered to pick us up from the station because we were without a car)! The fire was made up for us when we arrived and we had everything we needed. The garden and stream were gorgeous - can imagine they are even more so in the Summer! Plenty of lovely walking routes near by and the local pub is not to be missed! Hope to visit again soon. Thanks for a lovely stay!

“re-visitting this beautiful cottage with lovely hosts and great surroundings”

Reviewed 28 Sep 2016

This was our second stay at The Piggery and I can say that we'll definitely be back for more! Jenny and Paul made our stay very special and we felt very welcome, so it looks like a tradition is born and we will come back. The Piggery itself is very comfortable and has everything you need to make your stay a pleasant one, the woodburner adds a great deal to it. Also the perfect surroundings,a rural location in the middle of Ashdown Forest, seeing the deer in the early morning, hearing the owls and the stream at night and having tea and fresh cakes at Duddleswell Tearoom, what more do you need? Not to mention having a cold bear at the decking after visiting one of the many nice and interesting places nearby, like Chartwell, Hever Castle or Lewes. All nice places to visit are nearby. We stayed at the Piggery for 10 days and we have de-stressed completely. thank you Jenny and Paul for making this all possible. cu you soon again, with love from René and Jeannette from Holland

“A very pretty place to stay”

Reviewed 21 Nov 2012

The piggery was set in a beautiful area with a stream running down the side of the house. The place was well furnished and had everythig you would need with lovely extra touches such as tea lights and fresh flowers. There is also a wood fire which the owners supply wood logs. It was very warm and cosy. The bed was very comfortable. The owners are very hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. Would love to visit again. A great place to stay expecially with a dog as lovely walks close by.
