Glasgow remains the city of choice in Scotland, the city has a well-deserved reputation and is regularly voted the UK shopping destination outside of London.
All tastes are catered for, from the more exclusive boutiques of Princes Square and the Italian Centre, to the independent retailers and thrift stores of the West End, and not forgetting the Glasgow institution, The Barras Market. For those with an interest in art, you will be glad to know that Glasgow is home to many galleries and museums, with wide and varied exhibitions, most of which are free to visit.
Music fans will love the vibrant and exciting music scene in Glasgow. Live music is a regular feature in many pubs, and the city itself hosts some of the biggest names in the UK and international music scene. Annual festivals are held in the city, including TRNSMT, the Jazz Festival and Celtic Connections.
If sports and leisure is your thing, Glasgow is home to Scotland's two biggest football clubs. If you prefer to participate than to watch, there are a number of gyms, leisure clubs, and outdoor pursuits.
