In the grounds of Glenfarquhar Lodge, this former bakehouse has been tastefully converted into a unique two bedroomed character property.
The property was converted in 2007 to a very high standard, and has been equipped to a very high level. This is the ideal setting for families and couples alike.
The generous grounds offer large lawned areas in addition to private spacious nooks. The cottage enjoys close ample parking, and there are numerous private outside seating areas with a barbecue available.
This property sleeps up to 5 people comfortably, if you require accommodation for more than 5, East Wing is 60 yards away. This property is not able to accommodate dogs.
A cot and high-chair etc. are available on request for which no charge is made.
The cottage is light and airy and the décor is warm and inviting with quality fittings throughout.

All accommodation is centrally heated with a combi boiler for constant hot water. Entrance porch/boot room, large enough for a pushchair.
Living room:- A spacious double aspect Living/dining room, with 2 sofas - 1 of which is a sofa bed -, TV with DVD and freeview (small library) CD/Radio, Oak flooring with Persian rug. Dining table and chairs for up to 6 people. Small book library and games, with tourist information and maps provided. Steps down to kitchen. Bedrooms:- Both rooms are double aspect, and supplied with goose down duvets, and thick curtains. The larger room has a king size bed and also a single bed. The smaller room has a double bed.
Both bedrooms are extremely well appointed, and all Egyptian cotton linens and great towels are provided. The bedrooms are at opposite ends of the cottage, so great for privacy.
Kitchen:- Well appointed with ceramic hob and fan oven, extractor, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine/tumble dryer. A starter supply of tea, coffee and sugar will await you. All cleaning materials are also supplied. Bathroom:- A spacious room with quality suite, large deep Bath with shower over, W.C. and basin. We have a cot, travel cot/playpen and high chair which are available - Please note that only a limited amount of cot linen is provided - including fitted sheet -as parents prefer to bring their own.
The grounds are extensive, and guests may make full use of them. There are large expanses of lawn, we have provided some lawn games to help you take advantage of them, boule, croquet, and badminton etc. and a great variety of trees, shrubs and flowers.
This is a non-smoking property, and I am sorry but we are not able to accept dogs.
Good golf links course at Stonehaven approx 10 miles. Drumtochty highland games (June) - 2 miles. Golf course (12 hole) - 2 miles away. Childrens play area, with jungle gym etc - 2 miles. Tennis courts and Bowling green - 2 miles away.
Stonehaven harbour 10 miles. The fireballs festival on New Years eve should not be missed. Dunnotar Castle (Braveheart was filmed here) 12 miles. Glamis Castle (Queen mothers childhood home) 40 miles approx. House of Dun (by architect Robert Adam). Brechin Castle Centre - Ideal for children, 20 miles. Garden furniture and a large gas barbecue are supplied for the use of guests. We also have folding chairs, flasks and sandwich boxes for the days you may choose to go out to the marvellous local beaches etc.
We are about 3 miles from the renowned wedding venue of Drumtochty Castle, and we are happy to accommodate wedding guests at either of our properties, subject to minimum payment equivalent to two nights.
