“A little bit of holiday Heaven!” What a find! A beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. We have stayed in many self catering cottages and this has to rate as one of the best. The owners have thought of everything. Anything you could ever need on holiday has been provided for you. Fantastically stocked kitchen, constant hot water, brilliant little touches everywhere. I really don't know where to start. The terrace, garden furniture and BBQ were fantastic to have and we enjoyed many lovely sunny evenings bbqing the local fresh fish we bought, washed down with a nice chilled glass of wine listening to the waves and watching the sun go down. We spent everyday on the beach, surfing and building sandcastles. Beautiful beach and really never very busy. Having the tap at the back door and being able to rinse wetsuits and little feet was a great idea too. The beds were really comfortable as was the lounge furniture. I have nothing but praise about this little gem. We will be booking for next summer and would love to go back in the winter months too to appreciate it in a different way. If you are looking for a Scottish costal holiday, with or without children, then please try this cottage. You will not be disappointed.
“Weeks break” Very pleasant surprise when we arrived later than planned with shortcake,Prosecco and milk already in the kitchen, nice touch.
Location excellent right on the beach at Sandend,we all fell asleep to the sound of the waves everynight.
The cottage is very well fitted out and contains everything that you could need and I mean everything. The woodburner was especially welcoming at night and made it very cosy indeed,Our dog loved the beach walks and going for a swim then snoozing in front of it. The beds were nice and firm very comfy. The den was very popular with our daughter sitting in the window reading or just watching the waves and the surfers.
Location was excellent for visiting the area with no shortage of shops, supermarkets etc within a short drive.
I would have no hesitation to stay at the Croft again.

The location of the cottage is perfect within 1 minute of the harbour and close to the shops (lovely bakery, mini-supermarket and not forgetting the amazing Portsoy ice-cream shop). Portsoy is a beautiful village, very friendly locals and there are some stunning walks i.e. Portsoy to Sandend.
The cottage is wonderful, it's spacious but cozy and it is extremely well equipped with everything you need for a home from home stay. I'd really like to keep it a secret to ensure availability as we definitely want to return but the owner deserves a glowing review for providing such lovely accommodation.
Thank you. …

25 Sandend Village, by Portsoy, Banffshire, AB45 2UB
Would definately recommend this relaxing, imaculate and tastefully furnished cottage.
Sandend is a quiet, beautiful fishing village and No.25 is the place to be! You should go and visit. …
Very good value for money, with friendly, helpfull hosts.
This little Cottage was an ideal stay for us, just what we needed, peace, quiet and relaxing if you want it, there were lots of little places to visit, such as Cullen, Portsoy, Portknockie etc. or you can go further afield if you wish, Elgin, Inverness, etc just whatever you like. The cottage we rented "The Chaumer" was 2.5 m from Portsoy it consisted of sittingroom/kitchen area, with good selection of books, DVD's and an xbox if you are into this, shower/ toilet and to the back 1 bedroom comfortable bed and a good size garden to front of bulding and an outside eating/relaxing area.
I would happily recommend this Cottage to anyone thinking of travelling up North.
If I was to give any criticism it would be, I would have liked tp see a television a little bigger than the one in the Cottage, being so small the sound did not come out at all and the writing in screen was so small even with our glasses we found it very hard to read, but, other than that, I would have no hesitation to book again. Beautiful views and comfortable lodgings.
From beginning to end a wonderful relaxing holiday was had by all. On arrival the cottage was warm, welcoming and a wonderful gift was left for us which was a wonderful surprise. The Den was amazing for the kids who loved having somewhere special to go away from us adults. With the beach less than a stone's throw away we enjoyed beach walks everyday, which the dog absolutely loved. Would highly recommend Sandend. …
