Southwold Barn sleeps 8 people. On the ground floor, there is a large vaulted drawing room with original stonework, oak beam, a large logburner and views to open countryside. The fully fitted kitchen opens on to an open plan dining area. There are two double bedrooms (one with four poster bed) on the ground floor, these bedrooms share a bathroom with walk in shower.

On the first floor there is a zip and link bedded room with en-suite shower room, and a fourth double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. There is also an additional small sitting area with a TV and Playstation with games.

We also offer a range of optional indulgences to make your family holiday, celebration party, pampering weekend or get together with friends that extra bit special.

Being in the centre of Cotswolds, Southwold Barn is a short drive away from the main Cotswolds towns of Cheltenham, Cirencester, Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water. There are numerous pubs and restaurants locally the nearest being 1/2 mile walk.

We're close to all the well known Cotswold towns and villages and can tell you about the no so known ones! Cheltenham, Cirencester and Bourton on the Water are about 10 miles, Stow on the Wold is 12 miles and Oxford and Bath around 40 miles.

I booked this for 5 adults and 2 children 15 months and 3 years, including my mum who is in her 80's. for 3 nights as guests at our family wedding at Upcote Barn Withigton What a lovely welcome from Emma, and lovely to meet her after several emails with my many questions. She left us a well appreciated hospitality tray and fresh milk. Nothing was too much trouble and gave us lots of useful local information. It was like walking into a well stocked kitchen at home, lovely quality Denby crockery and so many cooking pots and equipment. Very clean and tidy all round. The bedroom arrangements suited us all fine, and were well equipped, a baby gate was provided for the bottom stairs, whilst the upstairs TV area was handy for the children in the morning whilst we all got ready. Plenty of plug sockets and lighting for getting ready, even hairdryers and handy magnifying mirrors in the rooms. Outside was a gravel area for the cars, we had 3 large cars and plenty of room for all. The children were too young to play out, but there was a nice little garden and barbecue area ( but we just didn't have the time) We fell in love with the area around Compton Abdale. Beautiful villages around. It's easy access to the A40, Northleach 15 mins drive away where I used Serenity hairdresser ( lovely) and a handy pharmacy and cost cutter for basics. We did a Tesco on line shop for arrival which was great and the pub Mill Inn at withington is well worth a visit as the food is excellent and the opening hours are generous We had a wonderful time here and I cannot thank Emma enough for such good accommodation

I would strongly recommend this house as a wonderful place to spend time with friends and family. We recently had a wonderful stay here and there was plenty of room for the 4 couples in our party. The rooms were clean, spacious and have been beautifully decorated. The kitchen has everything that you need and more to cook easily for 8 people. The owners were friendly and came to greet us on arrival, showing us around each room and explaining how to work all the appliances. It was lovely to have a fire for the cold November evenings and makes the house very cosy! We had 3 cars between the 4 couples and there was plenty of room to park all 3. I couldn't find 1 negative thing to say about this house, I couldn't recommend it more highly.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
