A fully refurbished (January 2012) modern 2 bedroom apartment accommodating up to 6 people in a quiet street in one of London’s most pleasant regions. Just steps from Highbury Barn with its upmarket local shops, restaurants and traditional British pub. Two minutes walk from Highbury fields, one of London’s most elegant parks which leads directly to Highbury and Islington station with fast underground links to central London (Oxford Circus 10 mins, The City 10 mins, St Pancras International Station 3 mins and 15 to Stratford for the London Olympics and 20 minutes to Canary Wharf). Flat screen TV with DVD player and music system with Ipod dock and connection for MP3 players. 2 additional armchairs and dining table seating 6 people. Large French windows looks over the well maintained gardens across the road.
Master bedroom. King sized Warren Clarke bed with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space.
2nd Bedroom. 2 full sized single beds with wardrobe.
Kitchen. A separate kitchen with modern units and granite worksurfaces with plenty of space for food preparation. Full electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. A washing machine / dryer is also available.
Bathroom. Luxurious modern bathroom with L shaped shower bath and John Lewis bath sheets.

The England region

The attractions of London are too numerous to mention but all are easily accessed from this charming flat. Having lived in the area for 15 years the owners have a wealth of knowledge not only of the famous London attractions but also lesser known local's favourites and the many activities and sights of interest many within easy walking distance. A couple of highlights include Colombia Road flower market and the wealth of small pub theaters with productions ranging from Fringe Comedy to Greek Tragedy.

Central London/Zone 2

Olympic Venues:

Trains run every few minutes from Highbury and Islington station to Stratford, for the Olympic stadium just 15 minutes away. This makes the location perfect for enjoying both the Olympics and central London from the security and comfort of one of London's most elegant and safer areas.

Highbury Barn:

Just steps from the front door, this is one of London’s quaintest “villages” the small parade of shops include Da Mario, a traditional Italian delicatessen, La Fromagerie, Godfrey’s English butchers and Mrs Lovell’s Greengrocers. The Beach Hut fish and chip shop brings a delicious taste of the seaside to central London in a wonderfully stylish setting. There is also a pharmacy/chemist, several cafés, a post office with ATM, supermarket and a traditional British pub serving real ales and good food. There are also a couple of good restaurants, Turkish Iznik and Mediterranean Stingray with several more within a 10 minute walk.

The range of restaurants is wide and international with chic eateries including Ottolenghi and Carluccio’s.

“Très calme”

Appartement bien équipé, dans un quartier calme à moins de 10 minutes à pied d'une bouche de métro et à 2 pas d'un arrêt de bus. Le jardin de la propriété d'en face, visible depuis la fenêtre de la pièce à vivre est très agréable. Le contact avec le représentant du propriétaire (étudiant je présume) a été courtois et simple. La ville de Londres est une très belle ville, avec de beaux monuments. Beaucoup de lieux à visiter. S'armer de bonnes chaussures. Durée du séjour, 4 jours. Une autre escapade sera nécessaire pour visiter les musées et autres lieux.

We stayed a family of 5 from Iceland on school break for four days. The apartment is clean and has all you wish for (even a blowdryer :-) Our kids loved it and so did we. We had to walk about 10 minutes to the Underground station to travel downtown, but that was refreshing. The owners are very friendly and the service is perfect.

A gem of an apartment in a great location. The fact that one of our children told Warren that she was making herself at home when we first arrived says it all! It really is a home from home, great facilities, clean and tidy apartment. Everything you need for a great stay and a bottle of vino too. We'll definitely be back, thank you Ian!

We came as a family with an 8 year old and a 16 year old . The apartment is comfortable , spacious and well renovated . The neighborhood is quiet . The first metro station is a bit far from the apartment. Warren, who welcomed us was really friendly . I recommend this choice to all those who want to go to London and not far from the center being comfortably installed.

L'appartement est situé dans une rue très calme avec peu de voitures qui passent. C'est très facile et rapide de rejoindre le centre en bus ou en métro. L'appartement est très confortable, bien décoré et très propre. Les gestionnaires sont très arrangeants en ce qui concerne les horaires d'arrivée et de départ. Bref une très bonne location.

This is a great apartment (stayed with my hubby and 2 teenagers), the directions were fabulous, great communication with the owner and manager and no hassles whatsoever. Its a bit of a trek (10 minutes) to the Tube especially with luggage (Ian tried to warn me though :)) but the neighborhood has everything you need. Would stay here again!

We arrived after a long flight and were met by Warren at the apartment. He is a lovely, friendly guy who gave us a lot of information on the local area etc. The apartment is well stocked and thoughtfully set out with all you need for a relaxing break.The location is fantastic for London as it is only a 10 min tube ride from the city and then you are in the peaceful retreat of Highbury. The local area is good for all your shopping needs and the park was beautiful on a summer's evening. Ian was always available to communicate with as we prepared for the trip and the wine he left for us in the apartment was amazing! We will definitely return if we can get a booking in the future! Thank you.

My eldest son and I stayed at Fichi in the City in London. It was wonderful-- clean, well appointed, quiet, etc. It was handily close to 2 underground stops. I would recommend this apartment to anyone traveling to London.

We loved our stay in Ian's apartment. The apartment was very comfortable and clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a most enjoyable stay. The Highbury location is fantastic - a really nice neighbourhood with restaurants, bars, shops etc and a short 10-15 minute walk to two tube stations. Ian was very friendly and helpful, quick to respond to emails, and Warren his property manager was also a pleasure to deal with. This will definitely be our first choice to stay when we are next back in London.

service was excellent, flat was clean, bright & well furnished. located handy to shops and restaurants, bus stop at the bottom of the road, 2 tube stations within 12-15 minutes walk, Arsenal, on the Picadilly line, is a straight run from Heathrow.
