Luxurious Little Lodge Cottage - small but perfectly formed

Little Lodge Cottage is a luxurious two double-bed detached Cottage in Canterbury, overlooking peaceful gardens and Canterbury Cathedral.

Little Lodge Cottage is 1 mile from Canterbury West Station. London by train takes 55 minutes to St Pancras Station. Located on the main road with regular and reliable buses into the City or a 15-20 minute downhill walk (10 minutes if brisk). It is easy to park here, walk into town, and taxi it back (approx. £5).

Little Lodge Cottage is located North/West of the City, 1 mile from the Roman Westgate Towers and its Wall surrounding the City and the ancient High Street.

Little Lodge Cottage is less than 100m from University Road and a perfect location for those visiting the University of Kent.

Little Lodge Cottage is located but a few metres from Chaucer

Little Lodge Cottage shares a spacious private gated driveway with my bungalow next door and is enclosed by a beautiful railway sleepers wall. It offers lighting and gated free parking.

For dog lovers or walkers, the Cottage is surrounded by green fields and great country walks, Blean Woods, and the famous Crab & Winkle 6 mile walk to Whitstable. It is six miles to the coastal town of Whitstable. From the port of Dover or the Eurotunnel terminal - 25 minutes by car, or short train journey. From Gatwick Airport - 60-80 minutes by car.

Canterbury is a great place to visit. Whether staying for one night or more...

Whether it's about our Schools and Education, or our History or your Family, Canterbury offers beautiful countryside, and the sea is just 6 miles away. Whatever your reason for coming here, I offer self check-in in and a very warm welcome.

Downstairs

UPDATE: Recently renovated open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area. Fully furnished with beautiful wooden floor and furnishings (new pictures to follow shortly). Lounge/Diner with farmhouse table and four dining chairs.

UPDATE: Beautiful NEW Laura Ashley sofa-bed just purchased which converts to sleep two persons (at a push). Please be aware, the Cottage is very small and with the sofa-bed fully out and being used as a bed, there is little spare space in the open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area and when fully out, it is a tight squeeze. Please note, all your guests will have to pass the sofa bed and the person(s) sleeping in it, to get to the loo in the night.

UPDATE: New Kitchen with high quality appliances to include gas hob, electric oven, slim line dishwasher. Sofa-bed. Farmhouse table seating four, Smart HD TV. Netflix.

Full gas central heating, free superfast fibre optic internet connection. Netflix.

Downstairs Spacious bathroom with toilet, full size bath, shower over, sink and great mirrored lighting.

“The Little Lodge Cottage is an excellent place to stay at Canterbury”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2013

I've been in the company of my family for four weeks in the Little Lodge Cottage and this stay has been very happy for us. We believe that the Cottage is a great place to live, because this is well maintained, clean and well laid out. Although four people were living there, we never felt that this Cottage was too small for us. The Cottage has several advantages for any visitor to Canterbury, for instance the possibility to parking in front of the Cottage, however if the reason is to visit the University of Kent, this place is ideal because of its proximity to the entrance of the University. In addition to the above, Mikal is an excellent hostess, who has always been concerned that our stay in the Cottage to be enjoyable. We would like to thank Mikal for their hospitality and willingness to help us.
