Lying in the delightful rural setting of Ware near Canterbury, Kent and surrounded by orchards, Foxglove cottage is a single storey, detached cottage, one of four holiday cottages located in the grounds of Hawthorn Farm. The cottage is self catering, and sleeps up to 4 people in a double and a twin bedroom. It has a pretty open plan lounge/dining room with a separate fully equipped kitchen with a cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher.The lounge includes TV/DVD and radio/CD player and there is an iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner and hairdryer.
The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over. Luxury 200 thread count bed linen and fluffy white towels are provided, but guests are asked to bring their own beach towels.
The garden for Foxglove Cottage is opposite the cottage with picnic table, garden chairs and parasol. At the rear of the playing field there's a children's play area, with swings, a slide and a small goal. We also have a full-size outdoor table tennis table that our guests are welcome to use, plus a cupboard full of games and DVDs to borrow.
There's a family-sized built in BBQ and we can provide coals at cost If you forget to bring your own.
There is private parking immediately outside the cottage.
Pets are welcome to stay in Foxglove Cottage - dog bowl and treats are provided. If you would like to bring your four-legged friend on holiday to Hawthorn Farm, there will be a charge of £25 for up to 2 pets per stay, which is payable on arrival.
Located between Canterbury (9 miles) a World Heritage site and Sandwich (3 miles) said to be the best preserved medieval town in the country, you will find we are conveniently situated to enjoy the many attractions and places of interest that Kent has to offer, including the world renowned Howletts Wild Animal Park ,only 7 miles and the very popular Wingham Wildlife Park, 4 miles.
Being only 20/30 minutes from the Channel ports and tunnel, a day in France can add to your holiday enjoyment, and with London now only 56 minutes from Canterbury by train, you can be in central London in under an hour.
There are some wonderful walks right on our doorstep (we are close to the Saxon Shore Way and Stour Valley Walk). Just walk out of the Farm gate and you are immediately in apple and pear orchards with a footpath taking you all the way down to the River Stour.
A cot, high chair, and baby bath are available at no additional cost. Please ask at time of booking.
