The wood-burning stove is a great focal point to the sitting-room and is perfect to relax in front of after a day's activities.
Upstairs are two comfortable bedrooms, one double and one twin and another new bathroom/wc, with separate shower, on the first floor. The 2014 extension and the complete renovation works of the original cottage carried out in 2011 now afford a comfortable holiday home in this most idyllic location overlooking the River Dee and enjoying fabulous views to all sides.
Heating and lighting are included in the rent and there is an initial supply of logs provided for the wood burning stove.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
There is a variety of DVDs, books and games provided for guests to use.
Lets commence at 4 pm on the day of arrival and the cottage shall be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure.

Please also note that there is a charge of £15 per pet per booking.
The Aberdeenshire region
When you stay in this cottage you will be able to explore the timeless beauty of a refreshingly unique location. Royal Deeside and the Cairngorms appeal to travellers from across the world, all being attracted by the colourful grouse moors, native Scots Pine, highland views and misty blue mountains. The scenery here truly soothes the soul and captures the imagination.
The landscape is ideal for walking, cycling and many other outdoor activities. Balmoral Castle is approx 15 minutes away whilst there are many outdoor pursuits on offer within the Cairngorms National Park including salmon fishing on the Dee, and, particularly for children, The Deeside Activity Park at Aboyne.
Particular favourites are the pretty harbour at Stonehaven and the nearby Dunnottar Castle, watching the salmon leaping at the Falls of Feugh, Banchory ( and sampling the lovely cream teas etc at the nearby tea rooms !)
The numerous welcoming golf courses in the immediate area offer different challenges and all are set in spectacular scenery.
Enjoy the castles along Deeside - from the intimate Braemar Castle to Balmoral Castle. There are many others on the Castle Trail in Aberdeenshire owned by the National Trust for Scotland: Craigevar, Crathes, Castle Fraser, Drum, Leith Hall and Fyvie Castle to name but a few! Oh - and don't forget the distilleries - the nearest being The Lochnagar Distillery next to Balmoral.
The village of Ballater is only a 10 minute walk away, along the old Deeside railway line. Many of the local shops, which are around the village green and the Glenmuick Parish Church, enjoy royal patronage (with their Warrants displayed).
The village has an excellent selection of restaurants, shops and small convenience stores and you will find everything you need for a self catering holiday in the mountains. There is an excellent local tourist information centre in the original Ballater railway station which has been restored and also houses an exhibition which includes Queen Victoria's waiting room and one of the carriages from her royal train.
