Distillery Holiday Cottages are situated in a unique position, nestled between our own Distillery Stud (one of the largest privately owned national hunt studs in Scotland) and the Annandale Distillery (The First or Last in Scotland). Situated in the countryside, yet only 1 mile from Annan town centre.
THE TACKROOM is a luxury, spacious sandstone stable conversion completed in Oct.2015 It has been tastefully renovated and finished to an exceptionally high standard with oak flooring and biomass underfloor heating throughout with individual room temp. controls.

Kitchen - Fully fitted with hob,oven,microwave, integrated large fridge/freezer,dishwasher and washing/dryer machine with lots of worktop space.
Dining - Oak dining table and seating for 4
Lounge -Lounge area with leather seating for 5/6, large wall mounted flat screen TV with BT Sport, with french doors leading onto decking area.
Bedrooms 1 & 2 - Both are fitted with twin beds or zip & link super king (please state preference when booking) Fitted wardrobes (with shelving, drawers and hanging) dressing tables flat screen TV/DVD's, radio alarm clocks and hairdryers.
Bathroom - Double ended bath with shower head, large walk in shower with rainforest and second shower head, wc and basin with non slip tiles with underfloor heating.
Outdoor - Large decking area with garden furniture for 6, gas barbecue and outdoor hot tub overlooking stream, open fields and surrounding woodland. There is also an enclosed courtyard with outdoor seating, outside tap and secure lockup for bicycles/motorbikes.
All fuel/power bedlinen towels, Hot Tub, bathrobes and wi fi included.
Stud Farm - Tours of the stud can be organised at certain times of the year.
Fishing - Salmon & Trout fishing on the nearby River Annan can be booked separately.

“Spacious, beautiful, friendly - the most relaxed weekend ever!”
We arrived at the cottage on Friday evening and the location was excellent. Having The Tackroom made all the difference to mine and my partners overall experience - it was beautiful, spacious and private - just what we needed. Although rural, we weren't far from the town of Annan. A small town but it had everything that was needed to make the stay convenient. The cottage itself was amazing. We wanted for nothing and Margaret greeted us within the first hour of arriving. A complimentary basket was left which was a nice touch and we wanted for nothing during the entire stay. Whether ordering a takeaway or cooking for ourselves, there was always something available for the 3 nights that we stayed there. Then there was the hot tub - we spent all 3 night in there and although the wind was howling, the privacy of the rear of the Tackroom, overlooking fields and a stream, was completely protected from the wind, making the hot tub an amazing and enjoyable experience every night we were there. We didn't have the opportunity to use the barbeque but that would have been an excellent feature for warmer weather. There are plenty of walks and landmarks to see within a short driving distance so we never wanted for anything to do - although the best part of the weekend was the relaxation we were able to do. On a night, crawling into the comfy warm bed with the comfort of the entire cottage protecting you from the cold outside was a welcome experience and made for an excellent nights sleep. If I could make any recommendations, they would be small ones. Checking out at 10am made for a rushed end to a relaxing weekend and I would have liked to check out later. To be honest, I didn't speak to Margaret about this although I wish I had as it may have been an option. The technology geek inside me would have liked a larger TV in the living room to complement the entire room for a lazy Sunday afternoon watching TV - but that's just me. Thank you Margaret and Robert for a lovely weekend. I'm sure we'll be back in the future

“"Beautiful holiday home"”
Just returned from a short break in the Tackroom. What a beautiful cottage, decor and furniture of a high standard, underfloor hearing brilliant. Lots of little extras, welcome hamper, basics in cupboards etc, makes such a difference. Hot tub wonderful and very private. Lovely cottage for a nice peaceful, relaxing break. Annan just a 25 minute walk away with several riverside walks. Margaret a pleasure to deal with, would highly recommend. Would recommend the Lonsdale cinema in Annan and the distillery coffee shop.

I was not sure what to expect when I booked this for a little family getaway but I am so glad I did the host's are brilliant! Very personable we saw them when they came to welcome us, and each day they cleaned the hot tub for us which was very kind other than that we didn't see much of them. The accommodation is Gorgeous It is an old part of the farm itself the Tack room we had two bedrooms and a massive open living space with pretty much everything you could think of. The decor is very high standard, lots of fluffy towels, VERY comfy sturdy beds with gorgeous cozy bed linen. A walk in shower, and bath lots of board games. The hosts left us a bottle of wine and a little hamper I was so touched by this. Annan as a village is lovley local tescos is only a 5 min drive. Lots of walks. You can tell this cottage has been decorated and designed with high quailty and taste in mind we will be back! Id highly recommend it for a little break :) Thank you very much.

Amazing stay in this luxury cottage, everything was of really high quality and underfloor heating was lovely. Fantastic location, hot tub had lovely views onto open fields. Very peaceful and relaxing.. We had a great welcome pack (Bread, milk, etc) which was very much appreciated.The owners Margaret and Robert were very friendly and helpful. Have been recommending this accommodation to all my family and friends and will definitely be booking it ourselves again soon.
