Amazing stay in this luxury cottage, everything was of really high quality and underfloor heating was lovely. Fantastic location, hot tub had lovely views onto open fields. Very peaceful and relaxing.. We had a great welcome pack (Bread, milk, etc) which was very much appreciated. The owners Margaret and Robert were very friendly and helpful. Have been recommending this accommodation to all my family and friends and will definitely be booking it ourselves again soon.

We have just returned from a weekend away with friends to the 'Tackroom' at the Distillery cottages in Annan. We booked this as somewhere that was convenient for both parties to get to and we hoped it would be as good as the website portrayed as there is only 1 other review on tripadvisor. I made the booking with the owner and can only say communications were first class. Our friends arrived slightly before us on the Friday afternoon and were met by the owner and shown around the property. Within minutes of the owner leaving our guests we received a text simply saying "This is amazing - what a find". We couldn't wait to get there to see what had drummed up such excitement. Well all I can say is 'wow'. The attention to detail is second to none. There has most certainly been no expense spared in the conversion of the property with multi-zone underfloor heating throughout, beautifully fitted kitchen and bathroom and some of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The owner had left us with a welcome hamper, consisting of chocolates, wine, bread, and biscuits. It was an extremely nice touch. There was absolutely nothing that we could find to improve upon - the owner asked for comments or anything that we felt she could do to improve our stay but we were at a loss. The first thing that you notice is the tranquility. It's so peaceful. If you need to unwind then this is the place. We went out into Annan for a meal on the Friday night but didn't stay out too long as we wanted to get back to the lovely holiday let. The hot tub is a great addition. Saturday night was spent listening to owls in the woods whilst sipping wine and there are not many places you can do that. We've already booked to return before too many people find out about these cottages and it gets busy. We knew we were going to return within minutes of stepping through the door. It's a credit to the owner and is certainly worthy of a 5* accommodation award.

We booked the Distillery cottage (tack room) at the last minute for a 3 night break. Margaret was helpful by sending directions before our arrival. Upon arrival we were very impressed with the property, it is finished to a very high standard, very clean with lots of personal touches such as a basket of food, bowl of fruit, fresh flowers and milk & prosecco in the fridge! The cottage is so spacious & each room is decorated beautifully. The rain shower is really good too! Thank you for accommodating us with a travel cot for our 6 month old baby also. The hot tub was lovely in an evening and easy to use. Definitely recommended for a quiet break away from it all. We would love to return here.

Stayed here as a family, fabulous place, lovely touch with the welcome hamper. Comfy beds, great bathroom, fluffy big towels and an excellent finish throughout, wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We stayed in the Tackroom which excelled all expectations. It was very clean and very comfortable. Had everything you needed from underfloor heating, fluffy towels & bathrobes. It's an ideal place to stay for disabled guests, large rooms and large bathroom with walk in shower. The beds are very comfy and the hottub is a must. At the back it is private and the view is amazing, open fields with horses. Bonus of a welcome pack was a lovely gesture, the accommodation was done to very high standard including the finishing touches. The owners are lovely people and make you feel extremely welcome. We would not hesitate to stay here again & the cost is worth every penny.
