Description

Distillery Holiday Cottages are situated in a unique position, nestled between our own Distillery Stud (one of the largest privately owned national hunt studs in Scotland) and the Annandale Distillery (the First or Last in Scotland). Situated in the countryside, yet only 1 mile from Annan town centre.

'THE STABLES' is a luxury spacious sandstone stable conversion completed in Oct.2015 It has been renovated and finished to an exceptionally high standard with oak flooring and biomass underfloor heating throughout with individual room temp controls.

Accommodation

Open plan Kitchen/Dining/Lounge

Kitchen - Fully fitted with hob,oven,microwave, integrated fridge and dishwasher with breakfast bar & stools.

Utility - Washing/drying machine, freezer, wc and wash basin.

Dining - Large oak dining table with seating for 6

Lounge - Large lounge area with leather seating for 6, large wall mounted flat screen TV with BT Sport. Sliding doors to enclosed patio area.

Bedroom 1 - With twin beds or zip & link super king size (please state preference when booking). Fitted wardrobes (with shelving, drawers and hanging), dressing table, flat screen TV/DVD, radio alarm clock & hair dryer.

En Suite - Shower with rainforest and second shower head, wc and wash basin. Non slip tiles with underfloor heating.

Bedroom 2 - With twin beds or zip and link super king size (please state preference when booking) all other room facilities are the same as bedroom 1.

Bathroom - Freedom bath with shower head, large walk in shower with rainforest and second shower head, wc & wash basin. Non slip tiles with underfloor heating.

Patio - Fully enclosed and fully paved with views over the stud paddocks/garden with the backdrop being the Distillery's Pagoda. Completed with garden furniture for 6, gas barbecue and outdoor hot tub.

There is also an enclosed courtyard with outdoor seating, outside tap and secure lockup for bicycles/motorbikes.

All Fuel/Power Bedlinen, Towels, Hot Tub, Bathrobes and Wi Fi included.

Stud Farm - Tours of the stud farm can be organised at certain times of the year.

Fishing - Salmon & Trout fishing on the nearby River Annan can be booked separately.

“Stunning accommodation in lovely place”

We stayed at The Stables and couldn't fault it, like so many others have said before. Spacious and lovely accommodation, spotless, plenty of towels, fantastic welcome basket, comfortable beds, hot tub, helpful hosts. We would love to visit again and have no hesitation in recommending to others.

Absolutely wonderful stay, the cottage is beautiful and absolutely spotless, cannot fault in any way, the welcome pack was a lovely touch and much appreciated. We wanted somewhere special to stay as we were renewing our vows at Gretna Green, also for a birthday celebration and this place was perfect, highly recommend.

First I must say what a fantastic designed cottage / converted stables. The finish is top quality, it's so spacious and clean with all the amenities and 'little touches' that made are stay so special. Located directly behind the Annandale distillery which itself has undergone a major refurbishment this rural setting was so peaceful and quiet. There is also a nice walk just over the field running along Annan river which we enjoyed. Ideally situated just over the border we (myself, partner and 12 year old daughter) visited Gretna (including the outlet village to keep the women happy !), Dumfries, Caerlaverock Castle, Galloway Forest park and Edinburgh within our stay. Really enjoyed visiting theses places,there is plenty to see and do. The countryside and views are spectacular, great for walkers, a beautiful and peaceful part of Scotland. Must also mention the owners, especially Margret, who were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. the welcoming pack was just one of many 'bonuses' that made our stay so special. Don't hesitate in booking on this property, it's terrific value for the money, you won't be disappointed. PS - Hot Tub, couldn't get us out of it :-)

How do damage deposits work?
