Crab Apple Cottage
A perfect stay in beautiful accommodation

Our stay at Crab Apple Cottage was an absolute pleasure. Nick and Sue were perfect hosts and the accommodation more than exceeded our expectations. The cottage is cosy, quiet and private with a lovely rural outlook. It is located in a wonderful area, close to all that the Brecon Beacons and Wye areas have to offer. The cottage was spotlessly clean, well appointed, tastefully decorated and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We would certainly recommend Crab Apple Cottage and would return in a heartbeat.see more

The Barn at Treberfydd
Very comfortable stay marred by noise and dust from builders

The Barn itself is well equipped and has been converted to a high spec. Its location next to the grounds of a large mansion and very close to Llangors Lake, is fabulous. The only outside space is the concrete courtyard (cracked and uneven) - this should be made clear in the description. Our stay was also marred by builders working on the adjacent house for the owner's daughter. They arrived early so we didn't want to take breakfast outside. The owner did apologise but that was the extent of his goodwill gesture to meet our disappointment. The Barn sleeps 8 but there was only one set of keys which was inconvenient.see more
The Saddlery Cottage
The perfect retreat!

A stunning converted cottage set in the beautiful peaceful grounds of Treberfydd House and gardens. Pet friendly and comfortably sleeps six with two bathrooms, one en-suite. The cottage has its own private parking and is situated next to a courtyard adjacent to the main house with fantastic views over Llangors lake and the peaks of the Black Mountains beyond. If you want to chill and escape from the world for a few days this is the place to be. Outdoor lovers will love the flora and fauna of the gardens, particularly the diverse tree collection. The lake is only a short walk away with a rich variety of bird life to view from local bird hides. A short drive away is the black mountains or a bit further towards Brecon are the Beacons and Pen Y Fan mountain. David the owner is very friendly and helpful and always very mindful to ensure guests have their own space. There are excellent eating facilities in nearby villages, although shops and garages are quite scarce so best to fuel and stock up before you get there. This was our second visit and we will definitely return. Thoroughly recommended!see more
