“Great week away from it all” This cottage is all I hoped it would be and was a great home from home with everything you could want. The location is superb on a beautiful beach and within walking distance to the pub. The nearby shop is stocked with everything. Beautiful place and great holiday.

Am Beallach Ban
Fantastic cottage and beach

We had a fantastic time here, 2 adults and 2 children. The cottage is in an amazing location just behind the beach. We spent time on the beach every day. The water is so clear and the silver sand makes it look like a tropical island. The cottage is really well equipped and nicer than it looks in the pictures. There was loads of space for 4 of us and it was really clean. The cottage also has wifi and a dvd player. In terms of things to do in Eriskay, it's a beautiful island to walk around. We climbed up a big hill behind the cottage and the view was amazing. The beach was our main activity though. The kids loved looking for crabs and fish. We also went to Am Politician which is a great pub - food was fantastic - and we went across to Barra for the day on the ferry that comes in just beside the cottage. Barra is well worth a visit, it is beautiful. The little shop on the island is really well stocked but there is also a co-op a short drive 20 mins over the causeway in south uist. We also ate a lot of delicious salmon. There is a smokehouse on south uist called Salar that produces the best smoked salmon. We drove up and bulk bought. You can buy it in the local shop so not sure it was worth the 50 min drive.... definitely try some if you visit though, it's delicious. We would totally recommend staying here!see more
