“Fantastic value for money house in a great location” Charter House is a lovely big house, ideally located in Hartland village.
The Worby family who rent it are lovely and very helpful, especially when rugby balls end up on the roof!
The house is very clean and perfect for a large group as there are a choice of living spaces.
It is great value for money, however having stayed in a few Airbnb properties recently, I would prefer to pay a little bit more and have basics such as washing up liquid, cooking oil, soap etc
Anyhow we kept the local shop busy!
We love the beautiful area of the Hartland Peninsular,the walks are stunning and we enjoyed many great walks. Hartland Abbey is well worth a visit and an outdoor theatre event there was much enjoyed. Nearby Bude provide many interesting things to do. We loved the seapool there especially.

We stayed for 4 nights over the Christmas period. Xmas eve outside in the square we had father Christmas for the children, Carol singers and lots of Xmas decorations it was wonderful! R stay in the house was very pleasant the owners really made an effort. We had 3 Xmas trees n decorations all over the down stairs. They even bought us Xmas presents. Lovely touch! All in all a very lovely stay. …

Fantastic cottage, pictures do not do it justice. Very well equipped. Pool and games room was well used and enjoyed by all the family. Visiting Peacocks in the garden were an added bonus and the views over open country side were great. A really peaceful spot so easy to relax and unwind. Hartland Quay a lovely place with stunning sunsets. Hartland village 2 shops selling everything you need and very friendly. Great food served in the local pubs. Were made to feel welcome everywhere we went. Thoroughly recommended. …
