“Lovely cottage in beautiful Yorkshire countryside” Bramble cottage exceeded our expectations – a quality conversion of a former farm building which is well furnished, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Everything we could possibly need was provided, including a generous welcome pack. The cottage would be ideal for one or two couples as well as families, having a bedroom and bathroom upstairs and another bedroom and ensuite on the ground floor. It is in a very peaceful countryside setting at the end of a farm track, with the owners’ farmhouse next door. A car is pretty much essential but, having said that, Leeds, Harrogate and Otley are within easy reach and Huby village itself is only a few minutes' drive, from where there are regular trains to Leeds, Harrogate and York. Despite some rather inclement weather we enjoyed our visits to Harlow Carr Gardens (RHS), Beningbrough Hall and East Riddlesden Hall and, probably best of all, Harewood House which is almost on the doorstep. There is still much to explore in this lovely part of the County and we hope to return to Bramble Cottage – we will certainly recommend it to our friends.
