“A wonderfully restored Church in a beautiful village - perfect, comfortable & relaxing, surrounded by beautiful scenery” I visited Old St. John's Church over a weekend, visiting friends and family I haven't seen in a long time. We all travelled from different countries to spend a weekend together away from home/work. The Church was absolutely beautiful - a perfect, beautiful, relaxing place where we could all enjoy time together in a stress-free environment. The kitchen and communal area were wonderful - great for cooking and catching up. Each aspect of the Church had been done perfectly. It has many beautiful features, which made the entire experience very pleasant. The Church is set in a quiet village - perfect for walking and seeing beautiful scenery. It was truly a unique and relaxing experience spending time in Old St. John's Church and exploring Gamblesby and its nearby surroundings. It also has a garden, which is perfect for sitting out in good weather and enjoying a nice cup of tea! Even if the weather is bad, the Church is so lovely, it's nice to just stay in and cook/watch television. We would highly recommend this Church to anyone. We had a fantastic time and it is a reasonable price for the quality of the accommodation. It really is a beautiful and amazing place to stay. We just wished we could have stayed longer!

“A fantastic experience!” Cliburn signal box is a beautifully restored property in a fantastic area. The property has been restored to a very high standard and includes everything you require for the overall experience. Very quirky and very clean and comfortable. It was a pleasure staying, the views from the signal box were stunning and even the neighbouring chickens and ducks were very welcoming. There is a lovely calm and relaxing feel to the property and a continuous warmth from the under floor heating. Even though we had cold temperatures and snow we were very warm and cosy. We loved it so much we are returning in july and any other opportunity we get. 10 out of 10 from us!

“Good house, Good walks, Great stay” A group of five friends rented the house as a base for a 3 night walking stay. We had a great time. The house was very well stocked and even gave us ample space for drying boots and jackets - it didn't rain much but was wet under foot. We lit log fires when we returned each day and enjoyed the games or watched tv. Brownber has masses of books and maps so don't worry about taking any. we did two 8 mile walks which gave lovely views even at low level. We even got to a stone circle.

“Cosy cottage” A lovely cottage, fully equipped with Everything required to make a perfect holiday. Dog friendly pub just down the road, The Royal Oak serving good pub food. jasmine cottage is based in the Eden valley making it a great location for exploring the North pennine fells. It was just perfect.

“Fantastic!!” My Girlfriend and i spent 2 nights here and we couldnt have asked for a nicer place to stay. Very pleased with the cottage, it was fitted with everything you need and at a good price.The bed was very comfortable and shower was really good ( a must if youv'e been walking all day). The kitchen was well organised and had all the utensils you would need, The livingroom was very cosy and warm. The whole place was spotless and Nicky was very friendly and helpfull. Shame we only had 2 nights here but im sure we will be returning for a longer stay soon

“Orton Hall a lovely retreat” My partner and I stayed in early July, and although the weather was mixed, Orton Hall itself was lovely. We stayed in the Royalist Suite, and it was as advertised. It was clean, warm and very well equipped. All appliances were fully functioning and very clean. The parlour and bedroom were very comfortable, and the bay window was a lovely place for breakfast. I would highly recommend staying to anyone.

“M” Such a lovely barn conversion. Brilliant detail of decor with such level of quality. This is a great stay for summer and winter, especially with the fire place. Overall great personal touch and appreciate the milk after a long journey. Definately will visit again.
