“Breathtaking!” The boathouse really is unique and special! Myself and my partner spent three nights in the boathouse which really was the best trip we have been on. The view from the windows are breathtaking. The binoculars provided made it even better to see the stunning views of the lake. Upon arrival there were rose petals, chocolates and champagne which were a lovely touch. The boathouse is in a great location - 10 minute drive from Penrith where there are superstores and about 40 minutes from Lake Windermere. The boathouse itself is immaculate and is a home away from home. The amenities are outstanding - there is everything in the boathouse you could need. The DVD selection is also very good! Jayne was extremely helpful and friendly and she went above and beyond with the information she provided before the trip. I highly recommend the boathouse - you will be left with the amazing memories that we are!

“A gorgeous little cottage” I stayed in this cottage for 5 days with my Mother and 1 year old Son and it was lovely. Yes the decor was a little dated but that really isn't important, what is important is that it was clean and well equipped with all the basics which was brilliant, there was plenty of hot water and the heating worked really well. There is no wi-fi and signal was a bit hit and miss but that suited us as we wanted to get away from the everyday humdrum. If you do take little ones there a lot of stairs so you will have to watch them if they wander this wasn't an issue for us though.
