    Gilbert Lodge 9 Bossiney Bay
    Glorious Gilbert

We have just spent an idyllic week in Cornwall at the beautifully appointed home from home that is Gilbert Lodge. Set in Bossiney, between Tintagel and Boscastle, Gilbert Lodge is just a few metres from an entrance to the Cornish Coastal path and beautiful sea views, walks and a path leading to a small and peaceful beach and cove. From the time we first made our enquiry with the owners everything went smoothly. Directions and collection of the keys were made simple The lodge is very comfortable, the owners have left nothing to chance in either decoration or facilities provided, it is gorgeous with open plan kitchen diner and living area, a master and twin bedrooms, two bathrooms, one with bath and shower. The lodge would be suitable for a family or a couple, as there is plenty of space, cupboard space and comfortable furnishings. We used it as a base for walking many stages of the coastal path and visiting Cornish treasures such as Boscastle, Port Isaac and Padstow, all of which are close by. At the end of each day we would return to Gilbert Lodges, sit on the decking of the lodge which catches catch the afternoon and early evening sun and enjoy the lovely location and views. The lodge is set on a very small, quiet site with views across countryside and farmland. The sound of birdsong in the morning and the calling of a nearby owl each evening were often the only sounds heard. We have returned both refreshed and rejuvenated and have started to plan our next visit, for a next visit there will surely be. see more
