*Visit England assessor comments* - May 2013:
Flutes is situated in a quiet residential development but close to Poole Quay. It is an ideal base for two people to explore the surrounding area.
The lounge has been furnished to a high standard with a modern leather sofa and a glass dining table. Excellent tiled floors laid in the kitchen and bathroom. The bed is dressed in superb Egyptian Cotton Linen.
An excellent welcome and arrival procedure is in place with the local Dorset goodies and wine provided.
"A lovely peaceful apartment in a pleasant location with easy access to Poole and its facilities. We would consider returning."

"What a lovely flat this is warm and well furnished and on the bus routes to the town and all of Dorset and the train station. Lovely walks if that's what you want, the town if full of good reasons to eat out. Taking boat trips to the harbour or day trips to Guernsey or Jersey on Condor Ferries for the day and only £30. Have a lovely relaxing time."

Justine and Nick - September 2011
"A very well placed and appointed property. From the day we arrived we felt relaxed and at home. Lovely, quiet area but close enough to walk to local amenities. Fantastic views across the Quay. Lovely not to have to think about bringing towels and the welcome pack and the chilled bottle of wine was very much appreciated after a long journey – a lovely thought. We will certainly recommend Catalina to our friends and family and will come back again. Many thanks."

The Dorset region
Dorset (in the past it was often referred to as Dorsetshire), is a county situated on the South West coast of England, bordering the neighbouring counties of Devon, Hampshire, Somerset and Wiltshire, . The county town of Dorchester is situated towards the South of the County, with other notable towns including Bournemouth, Poole and Weymouth aswell as many smaller towns dotted around the County. Being a predominantly rural county around 50% of Dorset population resides in the South-East of the County around the towns of Bournemouth, Christchuch, Poole and their districts.
Perhaps one of Dorsets most famous characteristics is its Jurrassic Coastline which features many natural landmarks including Lulworth Cove, Chesil Beach and Durdle door to name just a few.
Some of the most popular holiday destinations in the County include Bournemouth, Lyme Regis, Poole, Swanage and Weymouth, with many holiday parks, hotels and bed and breakfasts catering for almost every taste and budget.
Poole is a great place to visit at any time of the year. Our harbour is the second biggest natural harbour in the World, after Sydney, and whether you are by it, on it, or in it, it’s a stunning sight! Poole is also a great base for exploring the Jurassic Coast and the Purbecks to the East, and Britain’s newest National Park, the New Forest, to the West.
Poole is the place to come for outdoor activity. We have wind-surfing schools, kite-surfing, kayaking tours, fishing excursions, Brownsea Island, and some of the best sandy beaches in Europe – all on our doorstep! And for those who fancy stretching their legs with a post-lunch stroll try the South-West Coastal Path, which starts right here!
The Georgian Old Town and Quay offer a great variety of food and drink, with excellent bars and restaurants offering a huge choice of cuisines, and most of our properties are within a comfortable walking distance.
