This gorgeous family home with very spacious accommodation to suit everyone catch up with friends, family endless options all self catering. Within easy reach of historic Ludlow and 15 minutes from friendly market town of Church Stretton less than an hour from World Heritage Site Ironbridge or just stay in the garden and relax on the terrace whilst the family play tennis!

Every bedroom has an ensuite whether it be bathroom or shower room two have baths and showers the rest are showers.

The family kitchen also sits 6 at the kitchen table and has a large three seater sofa. There is also an electric Aga as well as electric cooker in the kitchen. We can also offer on site babysitting should it be required.

We have ample inside space for cycle storage or they can be hired in Church Stretton and delivered to the house.

There is local fishing available.

Shrewsbury offers a number of sports facilities.

Many beautiful public rights of way for the walkers.

Any special requirements can be discussed on booking for example a pre arrival shop can be arranged and babysitting can be offered. As we have a house manager on the site.

The Shropshire region

The whole of this area of Shropshire is steeped in history and Batchcote Hall itself has many historic stories.

The views include The Long Mynd, Carer Caradoc, The Lawley and The Wrekin.

Medieval Shrewsbury is only 10 miles north of us and has a huge selection of restaurants, shops and historic buildings.

There are plenty of fesitvals and entertainment around the year such as Shrewsbury Flower Show and Ludlow Festival and specialist Food Festival and more. Ludlow has many quality Mitchelin Star restaurants.

There are also numerous country restaurants and some cosy pubs in the neighbouring villages.

For families we are only 40 minutes from Telford for Ice Skating, Skiing and international centre and of course nearby World Heritage site Ironbridge.


Picklescott is a small country village offering many country walks.

Church Stretton is the nearest market town offering a local market once a week and many small independent shops plus a small supermarket adn chemist.

There is a local Golf Club for any gold enthusiasts and also a Gliding and Cycle shop offering repairs and hire.

Bikes can be delivered to the house by arrangement, as there is plenty of excellent cycling routes nearby.

There are also many small coffee shops and restaurants available, plus a local leisure centre.
