Cottage | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 8
A beautiful 400 year old, grade II listed Character Cottage in the center of Godshill old village on the Isle of Wight.
There are stunning walks nearby, down-land views and woodland walks as well as access to our own private woodland.
In the heart of the village, it is near the chocolate shop, and some very popular restaurants, shops, pubs, and the model village.
It is situated at the foot of historic Godshill Church of the Lily Cross as seen on T.V.
The cottage has recently been refurbished to a high standard, and has been lovingly restored to its former glory, with old fireplaces and wood beamed ceilings.
It has 3 double rooms. One with en suite shower, and there is also a bathroom.
Downstairs there is also a double futon in a separate area, a lounge, kitchen and utility room with washing machine.
There is also a large conservatory to the rear of the property, and a courtyard garden with a pond and a barbecue.
This cottage is part of our retreat centre and so you can make use of workshops and treatments on offer including: art classes in silk, oil, pastel, collage, felting and healing art, reiki healing, reiki training, massage, crystal workshops, meditation workshops, chakra balancing, channelled readings, tarot readings and much more.

The Isle of Wight region
The Isle of Wight is the perfect destination all year round.
Whether you visit the Island in the summer months and enjoy it for its beaches, sailing and water sports, cycling and walking; for the obvious attractions like the Isle of Wight Festival, Bestival, Cowes Week, Blackgang Chine, The Needles at Alum Bay, Winkle Street, with its quaint row of little thatches, or Godshill Church surrounded by thatched cottages on the hill top at Godshill or visit in the winter, there is always plenty to do and see.
Other alternative attractions include falconry, fossil hunting, Ghost walks, the Donkey Sanctuary, The Lily Cross in Godshill Church , St Catherine's Lighthouse, Steephill Cove, Walk the Wight, and the fishing lakes.
During the winter the Island is transformed into a peaceful haven as if you have stepped back in time. The breathtaking scenery and picturesque walks, the wildlife and the time to sit back and truly feel the energy of this Diamond Isle.
The Island is the home to red squirrels that are really tame and wonderful to see. It is great for bird watching, for bracing walks that blow away the cobwebs. It is great for meditating. It is great for going within, so that we can reset ourselves. Only then can we truly know what is important in our lives.
The Godshill area is approximately 10 minutes drive to either the beaches at Shanklin or Ventnor. There are regular buses also.
The House of Om is in the old part of the village, with its cottages and tearooms, but within minutes you can be immersed in nature and surrounded by squirrels!
You can take a down land walk up to the Obelisk above Freemantle Gate and take in the whole view of the Island.
In May, Beech Copse is a carpet of bluebells, and the village cottages are smothered with fragrant wisteria.
No wonder the island has more artists in residence than anywhere else in the UK. At every corner there is a feast for the eyes just waiting to be captured on canvas!

"Disgusting - do not stay here. Vile owners ."
Everything about our stay here was sub standard . The property is not fit to be let as a holiday rental, from broken cooker to doors that are impossible to unlock, to uncomfortable furniture and a noi… More
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I thank you for yours.
I am really sorry that you feel this way, and I wish you love and light.....these are the exact words I said to you on departure. If this makes me vile, then I am sorry that you think so.
This is a beautiful cottage, and has been a truly happy family home filled with love and positivity. It is part of our retreat center, where we teach about raising your vibration through art, meditation, reiki and positive mental attitude.
There is a consciousness shift happening on the planet right now, and at the retreat center we meet many people who are awakening to the importance of kindness, love, light, peace, joy and wisdom.
Wishing you all so much love and light

"THE MOST DISAPPOINTING HOLIDAY COTTAGE EVER"
I stayed at the House of Om in August with my 3 generational extended family and 2 dogs. Looking at the photos online we thought it would be a lovely place - where do I begin! The conservatory was gru… More
Both negative reviews have come from the same people. These people said that they would make life awful for me.
My life's fantastic.
The cottage is as seen in the photo's. It was given 4*. I do live in God's 'hill', so there is a hill here. The cooker is new, and the cottage is newly renovated. It is 400 years old and beautiful, if you can appreciate it, and the furniture is antique, and china is vintage.
We offer a really friendly and loving atmosphere here.
