"I have never been spoken to in such an abrupt and condescending way"
We really enjoyed our stay in the Stable, it was very comfortable and cosy. However the whole trip was marred by the way in which we were treated by Melanie. After having tried corresponding through e… More
This customer thought the shepherds hut was part of the package and was not happy when I told her it wasn't. She booked the property initially for 2 people (the Stable sleeps very comfortably 3 people). I gave her sheets etc for extra as she said a friend might turn up. As it turned out there were 5 people staying there the double futon which I said fine of course and the sofa too! I also provided extra towels. I was not rude to her. I just made it clear that the shepherds hut was not available as she was determined that it was part of the stable. The shepherds hut if often used in conjunction with the stable but it is made clear that it is under separate negotiation. You can sleep 5 in the cottage at a squeeze but there is usually a small fee. I did not charge her for this.
Obviously not very happy about it but not a lot I could of could have done expecially as it was booked. And, really not sure about what happened on the message front.

"Wonderful, family friendly and all the facilities you could need"
We spent an excellent week at Daubeneys Stable - the property has every facility you could need and the owners were very friendly and accommodating.
The quality of the furnishings was very high, my partner and I both commented on how good it was to have a bed as comfortable as our own back home - essential for a relaxing stay. We've stayed in a few rental properties and it is a rare thing indeed.
The welcome basket was a wonderful touch too, very thoughtful and most welcome.
The property's location is ideal for visiting Bath and the surrounding towns and villages - would heartily recommend it to anyone looking to stay near Bath or as a base for the area in general.
Overall - a luxurious property in a charming location.

"Charming converted stables just outside Bath"
Myself and my partner stayed in Daubeneys Stable for 2 nights. We found the accommodation spacious and beautifully designed in a traditional way with amazing exposed beams. We were greeted with biscuits, bread and milk which was a unexpected lovely welcoming touch! The location is perfect if you want to experience Bath's real countryside but still want to be able to get to the centre easily. We hired a local taxi company for £15 to take us into Bath (around a 15 min drive). The location of the stables is also convenient to explore other nearby villages and the scenery is stunning! Would definitely go back and did not want to leave to go back home!
