St Margaret's Cottage is a holiday cottage providing self-catering accommodation in the conservation village of Coldingham. Great for walkers, bird watchers, golfers, fishermen and those who enjoy staying in a charming period property with every possible comfort.

The recently renovated property provides peace and quiet in a secluded location and is only a mile away from the stunning sandy beach at Coldingham Bay.St Abb's nature reserve, famous for its bird life and cliff top scenery is only 1.4 miles from the St Margaret's Cottage.

St Margaret's Cottage is over 100 years old with a host of original features, and has recently been sympathetically restored and refurbished to a very high standard by the present owners to provide clean and comfortable holiday accommodation. The cottage has a " blue plaque" as it was the home of a writer who found it just the right place to pen his novels which even Tolstoy found excellent.

The wide variety of nearby attractions and things to see and do, makes St Margaret's Cottage ideal for a wide range of visitors, from couples seeking a romantic retreat to fishing and shooting parties.

bedrooms (one double, one twin in which the beds can be pushed together) a bathroom with large shower (not bath) and under floor heating, living room with a beautiful Norwegian cast iron stove (gas-fired), colour TV/Blu Ray Video, payphone, CD and iPod players and a conservatory with under floor heating.(in season)

Coldingham

Coldingham is a Conservation Village in the Scottish Borders. It has two Pubs, a Shop an ancient Abbey and a sandy beach. Nearby is the port of Eyemouth where lobsters, crabs and sea fish are caught. There is a golf course there and some good restaurants. Not far too is the River Tweed, a world famous salmon river.

"Well equipped Cottage in a great location"

This cottage provided us with a warm haven during a very windy and sometimes wet winter break. Plenty of local walks and interesting places to visit.

"Brilliant"

Lovely comfortable cottage situated in a beautiful secluded location but within walking distance of village. Owner gave good detailed instructions on how to find cottage and explanation of key access Coldingham is a lovely area and we enjoyed the walks from the cottage, two nice coffee places in St Abbs. Also ideal location for visiting Bamburgh and Lindisfarne
