The Tayside/Perthshire region

Aberfeldy is our local historic town. It is the original old market town for Highland Perthshire serving a widely scattered rural population. It is the geographical Heart of Scotland, and an ideal centre for touring. Both Edinburgh and Glasgow are about one and a half hours drive away. The clan chieftains of Menzies, and Campbell, once ruled the area. But latterly families like the Wills of tobacco fame, Sir Donald Currie the shipping magnate, Nairns of the linoleum empire, have lived in the area, and now J K Rowlings of Harry Potter fame, has her holiday home within the Valley we are just 0.5 mile from Castle Menzies. It is the perfect location to enjoy an active break , a relaxing holiday or a touring vacation of Scotland. Surrounded by Mountains, Valleys and History Aberfeldy is the ideal location for all ages.
