“Great Property - Excellent Hosts” With 4 adults and 2 children, we spent Christmas 2011 in this house and found it perfect for our needs. The property is well equipped and very comfortable. The hosts are on site and could not have been more helpful. We had other family members over for Christmas dinner and they were only too happy to help out with extra seating and plates etc. Great location - close to major centres, but still very peaceful on 40+ acres. I would recommend this property and will be returning on our next visit to the UK.

“Everything we wanted & more” We wanted peace & quiet & somewhere to stay where we could forget everything that needs to be done in our everyday lives. This was defiantly achieved by staying at The Old Bakehouse. The property had everything we needed, a proper home from home very comfortable & warm. Any questions we had were answered by the owners who made us feel very welcome. We were even given some home grown potatoes! Unless you enjoy walking (which we do) you do need transport. There is a post office in the local village if you just want a newspaper & basic goods. However if you just need an away from it all, leave the car on the drive & take long walks around the grounds & surrounding area you would be hard pressed to find a better place.
