“Stunning location and superb cottage” Nia Roo cottage is a cosy retreat in a stunning location, set amongst a backdrop of mountains and with views across the shores of Loch Duich. We were delighted with the cottage, which is finished to a very high standard and equipped with everything we could have wished for. For munro-baggers like us this cottage is in the perfect location for some of the best hillwalks in Scotland. Christine (cottage owner) and local taxi firm Glenshiel Taxis were both very helpful in arranging for us to drop off our car and the endpoint of a long hike and then driving us on to the startpoint, which was very useful since a lot of the best walks in this area aren't circular routes. Eileen Donan castle and Skye are also only a short drive from this cottage which makes it an excellent base for seeing some of Scotlands most beautiful scenery. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Nia Roo and really hope to return.
