“A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting.” Myself and 2 friends wanted to escape London at the begining of the olympics. We certainly did. Travelling by public transport it was great that our host picked us up from the station, took us to the shops and then to the cottage, they couldn't have been kinder. 2 of us like to walk and had plenty of beautiful places to explore, by the river and up in the hills. One has had problems with her knees and could not walk far, she did not have to, we could sit in the sun (when it came out) on the terrace or strole around the beautiful garden. She could make it along the quiet lane and enjoy the river and woods without going far. The cottage had every amenity we could have wanted and we were very comfortable.
