“Remembrance Weekend stay” We chose Acorn Cottage as the base for our stay over Remembrance weekend. Ideally situated for visiting Achnacarry Castle (Commando Training base), the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge and Fort William. The cottage is finished to a high standard, is spotlessly clean and in a beautiful location. We would have no issue with coming back or recommending to others. The only observation I would make is that the Twin bedroom on the ground floor is ensuite whilst the Double Bedroom on the first floor, where the open plan kitchen/living room is, is not. The double bed was delightfully comfortable and sleep was long and deep. Bed linen was great quality (in keeping with the rest of the accommodation). The only change I would make would be to provide Bath sheets rather than the smaller towels which, along with hand towels, were provided. The views of the Nevis Range, from the living room window was amazing, as was the delicious lemon drizzle cake, home baked by the owner.
