“Home from home - perfect location and loads to do nearby!” Perfect accommodation, really is 'home from home'. We were lucky with the weather being warm all week and some days hot sunshine! I ordered my food shopping online (Asda) and had it delivered the day we arrived - this really helped, because shopping with 3 boys is no fun! My boys loved fishing in the lakes - the man in the tackle shop was really helpful in setting up our little fishing rod! You can buy maggots from there too (if you're not too squeamish!) We had days out to Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World (with its amazing play area), Corfe Castle and Studland Bay - a beautiful beach, National Trust (so parking free for members). We even swam in the sea - with shortie wetsuits! We also drove down to a local beach, follow the road to Osmington and it's signposted to the left as Beach Cafe. We actually parked in the National Trust parking at top of hill (free for members) and we walked down to the beach - past a farm - through fields and onto the pebbly beach. We even saw the Olympic sailing in the distance! You can also park at the Beach Cafe at the bottom (but need to pay £5 for parking) - perfect for those not able to manage the walk down and back up the hill!) Food, hot drinks and ice-creams for sale at the Beach Cafe too! We also discovered Craig's Dairy Farm which sells it's own homemade ice-cream - very yummy!!!! We had to go back a few times! Again keep on the road to Osmington, past the sign to Beach cafe and you'll eventually come across it on the left hand side. The pool at Warmwell was ok, a bit tired looking and the waterslide is very slow (my 11 year old wasn't impressed) - but ok for a rainy day. As was the indoor play area, my 6 and 7 year olds enjoyed this. There's also the roller rink with music for the teens - and outdoor play areas. You need to pay for passes to use the above indoor facilities, buy these on arrival from the Reception area - next time we may not need them as there's so much to do within 30 minutes of Warmwell we keep ourselves busy. Warmwell and the surrounding area was perfect for my kids as they don't travel in the car very well on long distances, so even having a day out we knew it wouldn't take long to get 'home' to Kingfisher Retreat to make dinner. My boys had fun on their scooters too - riding down the slope of the cul-de-sac where our accommodation was. We also played badminton outside in the evenings. All in all a really lovely holiday...couldn't get the dvd player to work or the wifi but maybe that was just me! Perhaps an idiots guide would have helped me!!!! The evening entertainment at the Hub wasn't for us, but there's a bar, restaurant and stage, plus the inevitable slot machines and noise!! We had a drink one evening but on the whole spent our time at 'home' in the evenings watching the Olympics! We will definitely go back again.

“Amazing!!!” We have just got back after a long weekend at Pam’s lodge. After a rubbish year this break was well needed and it did not disappoint. The lodge is beautiful, lovely and spacious with so much light. Having 2 teenage boys space was a must, we had so much room! Everything you need is provided and to a very high standard. I’m a bit of a snob so like things clean and smelling fresh and clean. Lots of space for clothes. Everything looked brand new. WiFi was good (another must for us with the boys) a telly that worked and comfortable sofas to relax on after lots of walking. The park is probably one of the best we’ve visited, immaculate and staff very attentive. Food in the bar was lovely and the boys enjoyed the pool and also the ringos at the snow Center. We will definitely be back. We visited durdle door and Weymouth so there’s plenty to do even with teenagers. Pam was a lovely host, very quick to reply to any messages. If your looking for a home from home get away this is it! Thank you Pam
