“Lovely house in a lovely place and in a lovely position.” The house was well equipped, and in a great position on the "older" side of the harbour. We arrived late on a Thursday evening so didn't really struggle with parking in the nearest long stay car park about 20 mtrs away. However, it was really busy in the town being school holidays and close to goth weekend so we left the car in same space until we left for home as it was so busy, just paying the car park fee of £6.50 for 24 hrs. I understand the parking is being addressed as it is always a bonus to have a parking space, especially in a place such as Whitby. Despite this we took the opportunity to take our young girls on a 20 minute bus ride as a special treat, to Robin hoods bay for a few hours and was really nice. The house is located in a very central position for all there is in Whitby to see, do and eat. All restaurants and takeaways we tried on the door step were nice too. Nice pie and mash shop next door and a nice Italian next door to that. The famous magpie restaurant is only about a 10 minute stroll. Loads of positives for this place, only 2 negatives. Firstly this is a positive and a negative really as it was my own fault in not reading that the property has a shower and no bath but oh my what a great shower it was. Really nice rainfall style shower head and nice warm water, not fiddley to control temp as some are. It's a bit impractical for fussy young kids like mine that only like baths. And the other negative would be the stone floor downstairs is a bit cold on the feet at this time of year and wish i had thought to take our slippers...lovely to look at though. Overall a lovely relaxing short break from seasoned visitors to Whitby. We have stayed in a few nice hotels and a couple of nice self catering and would highly recommend this house.

“Great Apartment, Great Location” Just had 2 nights in this great apartment and have already booked another stay next year which says it all really! Lovely, clean, spacious and fully equipped apartment less than a ten minute walk into the centre of Whitby with beautiful views of the estuary. The apartment block is quiet and well maintained with the added bonus of a private parking space.

“Apart Met” Superb modern apartment. Excellent location 10 mins walk into Whitby. The owner Stuart has been great and very helpful. Would recommend a stay here, you won't be disappointed.

“Mrs” Lovely property, ideally situated for Whitby. Decor and furnishings of a very good standard. Slight negative, creaky floorboards on the top floor, which ordinarily wouldn't be an issue, but as a family of 7, things were a little snug. Would love to go back in the summer in a smaller family group. Fab spot, picturesque, quiet, safe for kids.

“Perfect” Wonderful cottage, peaceful location, friendly owners and a great pub within walking distance. We didn't want to come home.

“Beautiful property for a perfect frosty weekend!” We arrived on a frosty January day so firing up the log burner was a real treat! The property has everything you need to make it feel homely and the owner has thought of everything. I always worry I have forgotten to pack something but staying here it wouldn't matter as it would be somewhere! We cooked and ate in on the Friday, there are all the facilities you could need. The Saturday night we went to the on site pub and it was lovely food which arrived quickly. We have a young daughter and the choice of kids meals was plenty. This is one of the nicest holiday homes we have ever stayed in, the finish and the final touches really make it something special. We are just upset it is already booked when we have our weeks off in the summer or we would have booked it in a flash! This is no fault of the property or the owners but just advice for anyone who likes it really dark when you are sleeping, you might want to bring an eye mask as the light/moon shines through the porthole in the main bedroom. It looks very pretty and probably won't bother most but I like it really dark to sleep. Overall a perfect holiday house and we are planning when we can come back :)

“Great house, well equipped and perfect location for us” We had a lovely stay in Scarborough, the house was in a perfect location for us as we were attending a conference at the Spa which is just a few minutes walk. The bedrooms were all nice and its on a quiet road so not much traffic noise. The reception rooms were all lovely too and the kitchen very well equipped. The only complaint we had is that we would have appreciated a full sized dishwasher rather than a half sized one.

“Fabulous” Hilly access with lots of steps/stairs so not suitable for people with reduced mobility. House is beautifully presented with lots of extra touches. Great for a family holiday. Bridget was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay again.

“In-laws stayed” Booked for in-laws Xmas gift. They loved it so much they didn't want to come home. Apartment amazing. Everything has been thought of and so so comfortable. Lovely walk into Whitby from the apartment. 100% recommend this apartment for any age.

“Luxury self catering accommodation with stunning sea views” Had a fantastic long weekend with several friends. Five bedrooms and 5 bathrooms make it ideal for two families or larger groups to share. Only a 40 minute walk along the beach or short bus ride into Whitby yet Sandsend offers peace and tranquility with a lovely local pub serving great food and several coffee shops. We have returner five times and will definitely be back again

“Nice quiet midweek break” cottage is in a nice quite spot about 30 minutes walk into Whitby and ruswarp Along the river and railway, 25 minutes walk to the supermarket,steam trains can be seen from the property, open fields to the rear loads of wildlife,three bedrooms 2x doubles,1 set of nice steel bunks ,bathroom ,down stairs cloak room nice lounge breakfast kitchen free wifi and phone calls nice furnishings though out plenty of parking .

“Tickle cottage is fantastic!” A homely and contemporary cottage in the heart of The Bay at Filey was the ideal location to spend with friends and their kids for the weekend. A great location with plenty to do and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tickle Cottage to family and friends who are looking to relax for the weekend. Tickle Cottage is the perfect little seaside cottage :)

“Quiet Location, Dog friendly” We stayed at Doves Haven, Quiet, spacious, had everything needed for a stay. The creeking floorboards we won’t forget. Sainsbury supermarket close. Whitby 5 min drive, lots to see and do. RobinHood Bay. Falling Foss waterfall tearooms, Goathland village worth a visit. Not forgetting cinder trail down the field, lucky to see a deer. Also most mornings had a visit from the 2peacocks, won’t see that anywhere else. A thank you to Steph for your help.

“Beautiful house in a great location.” This house is spacious, clean, well equipped and in a great central location, ideal for exploring Whitby (we didn't use our cars all week). I can't think of any negatives and would heartily recommend this property.

“Great!” Wonderful little cottage to stay in, everything was in great condition and super comfortable! Only thing I would pick on would be the shower, no power at all but other than that it was a great short stay!

“Great flat and location for a Scarborough break.” Highly recommend flat , it was spacious , well set out and very clean and comfortable. Close to beach and all amenities. Great communication from owner. We had a brilliant time and would definitely go back.

“Fantastic - views were stunning” This was an absolutely lovely apartment - child friendly and modern and clean. The views were. Reach taking and it was nice that there were little extras like salt and vinegar in the cupboard and everything we needed for meals I've utensils, washing up liquid etc. Only downside was the open plan living area would get very hot and bright when the sun was shining right in and we had to close the blinds and shut out the wonderful view. Would definitely book again - had everything we needed for our holiday and our son loved the open plan living.

“Excellent cottage for Goth Weekend” This is our 2nd time for Goth Weekend in Cuddy cottage. It is ideally located, very clean & cozy. The cottage has all the amenities you may need for a lovely stay in Whitby. Definitely will be booking again.

“The Old Police Station, Filey” We had a wonderful 3 day break at this lovely apartment which is ideally situated in the centre of Filey. The location could not be better and with access from the rear of the building and a designated parking place..perfect. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need for a short break. Only two slight issues, the beds were quite hard for our liking and the second bedroom could benefit from having a small wardrobe, other than that, spot on.

“Horse shoe cottage” It was such a lovely place to stay we stayed In the horse shoe cottage and was mad to feel very welcome is a great place for kids to stay and play as has a lot for kids

“Just right for our needs.” Really appreciated having a quiet spot to sit outside in the sunshine. Not being over-looked was a major plus. Loved seeing all the animals too.

“Scoresby Escape Whitby” The house was perfect it had everything you needed for an enjoyable stay, We were a group of 10 for our annual get together and everyone enjoyed their long weekend. It is an ideal place to stay near the town, you do have to go up hill to the house but if you cannot manage it there is always plenty of taxis. Would definitely recommend the house to anyone who wants to stay in Whitby.

“lovely cottage” stayed at the cottage for our wedding anniversary,the cottage was clean and had every thing you would have in your own home.there was a washing machine as well so we didnt have diryty washing to take home .the cottage is in a lovely little village with a pub were the steam trains go past ,a place to hire rowing boats and a lovely cafe at the side of the river .short walk to whitby on the cinder track .and so much more to travel out to.only down side was the parking

“Broomfield cottages whitby” We had a great stay. The pod was surprisingly spacious and clean. The views were amazing. Beautiful bit of heaven.... We will definitely stay again. The shower block could do with a bit of updating, but it is a camp site. Are little girl loved the peacocks wondering about. Everything you needed was included for a short stay Thank you for having us

“Abbey view cottage” Really lovely stay! The people were friendly and welcoming, the cottage was cosy and spacious and it was a lovely surprise to meet the animals. My dogs had loads of space to play. We didn’t want to leave! The beds were very comfortable and the location was great. Will definitely return again. Thank you for our stay and fantastic value!!! On a niggly note, possible improvements..... The cottage is very dated, incredible dusty with cobwebs and spiders. The bedroom door in the twin room upstairs definitely needs repairing it is hanging off its hinges and screws kept falling out which worried me staying with my son and my dogs. Also it maybe nice to have more lighting in the kitchen and this too could do with updating.
