The flat is in a quiet location on the edge of Holyrood Park. A ten minute stroll through the park will take you to the Palace of Holyrood and the Scottish parliament building. These buildings are at the bottom of the Royal Mile. A walk up the Royal Mile takes you to the Castle. There are many cafes and bars on the Royal Mile together with many historic "Closes" - guided tours of these are available. A five minute walk off the Royal Mile will take you onto Princes Street - one of the main shopping streets in Edinburgh.
