8 Carpenters Cottages, Holt, Pretty North Norfolk Traditional Cottage & Piano !
Perfect little cottage for exploring North Norfolk Coast

The fact that this was our 5th stay at the cottage says it all. My wife and I just love this cottage, which is very clean and cosy. It is ideally placed in Holt for all the local amenities. It is only 2 minutes walk to restaurants, cafes, pubs etc. Also, the north Norfolk coast is only a short drive away. A favourite walk of ours is from Blakeney to Morston (where you can take a boat trip to watch the seals) then walk back for something to eat and drink. On returning to the cottage later on, we like to sit on the bench in the front courtyard and enjoy a pre-dinner glass of wine! A very relaxing place to be and thoroughly recommended.see more
ACORNS, private HOT TUB, Lyme Regis, rural oasis, WiFi, SHORT BREAKS

I have stayed in cottages and hotels all around the world (some 5*) and Acorns beats all of them hands down. Such a quiet location and ideal for exploring the Jurassic coast. The rental is spotless as is the hot tub which was 38C whenever we wanted it. It has every modern convenience you could want. The breakfast basket and food were so amazing. I assumed the photos on the website were staged, but it really does look that good in every room. It was so well equipped and the welcome from Joy was so warm and friendly. When I booked I was concerned that being attached to a house it wouldn't be as secluded as we normally would go for, but I was wrong. Every room, outside space and the hot tub, were totally private. We were left to our own devices and had a fantastic quiet romantic couple of days. Next time we will book for longer. We will be back and will be telling all of our friends and colleagues about this wonderful gem.see more
Sea Salt Hillside Villa
Great Stay Even in Rainy November

We booked knowing that November had the potential to be rainy and cold and we were not wrong. Despite the bad weather the villa was warm and snug, catching the sun’s rays thus lighting and warming the inside. The view over the cove is wonderful and we were able to lie in bed watching the wind, rain whipping up waves in the sea. There is plenty to do locally, even out of season, and much of it and cafes are dog-friendly. We found the peace and quiet that we wanted and were able to sit and read or watch tv in comfort. Our dogs were happy and loved the close proximity of woodland and beach. The villa is fully furnished to a very high standard, beautifully coordinated and fully equipped with Freeview tv, WiFi, hob & oven, dishwasher and washer/dryer etc.... There electric radiators in each room and even with a raging storm outside we were perfectly snug and warm. There is an on-site dog-friendly Cafe by the beach, where we had a delicious lunch. Just at the top of the road there is an award winning fish & chip shop/restaurant. We tried it out early in the week and rebooked for our last evening. It was exceptionally good fish & chips but there were several other things on the menu besides fish. The fishing village/small town of Looe is a few minutes by car down the road or a good step along the coastal path. Looe has shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants and is a charming place to sit on the quayside with a drink and watch the world go by. The downside to a November visit is looking out at the villa’s terrace and wishing it was summer and warm enough to bbq, sunbathe and really enjoy the beautiful view. We left wanting to return again and will definitely re book.see more
5* Waters Edge (Glan yr Afon)
Everything you could want from a holiday home and location

Where to start?! This cottage offers pure home from home. Everything has been thought of down to the welcome pack which is perfect after a long journey! As I write this, I am sat looking out towards the water with the log fire roaring away, is there a better way to spend a holiday afternoon?! The beds are very comfy, the towels are pure white & fluffy, the whole place is spotlessy clean, the views are stunning and the owners couldn't be more helpful. So nice to have a separate area to the lounge where you can sit and read. Our dog is very chilled out too! Outside caters for everyone too with a lovely patio area, sun loungers and garden games. Just a few mins walk and you're on the water front which is perfect for a morning walk. First time here and definitely will not be the last!see more
Bridgelands Cottage, Cark in Cartmel Village
Another stunning cottage - perfect break!

After having such a fabulous stay in Grange End cottage last year we decided to try Bridgelands Cottage for a long weekend in January. I may honestly say that were were certainly not disappointed in our choice! We already knew that it was in the perfect location as we had originally stayed in another cottage in the same location which we did not think could be topped. This cottage has a charm all of its own though and is just as lovely and quirky. Again an open fire in a cosy lounge, huge kitchen/dining room and guest bedrooms and bathroom on the 1st floor, full of character. Then up to the master bedroom on the 2nd floor - simply stunning!! There are another 3 cottages for breaks at Holiday Cottages Cumbria and I am already working on reasons why we should visit them all in the near future! Definitely have no hesitation in recommending this cottages whatever your circumstance, romance, country walks, family breaks etc - you need look no further!!!!!see more
Ty Beic Holiday Cottages - The Stable
Absolutely Flaultless

My Wife and I stayed at Ty Beic for a last minute weekend away. Even with the very short notice we gave Karen, only a matter of hours, the apartment was gleaming for our arrival and Karen couldn't have been more welcoming. The apartment was furnished to a standard you'd expect of somewhere much more expensive, and the location is beautiful, perched above the Welsh countryside. I'd highly recommend Ty Beic for anyone looking for a lovely trip away; however if you're a cyclist then Ty Beic is truly unbeatable. The location is perfect for accessing some of the best road and mountain biking that the UK has to offer and in addition Ty Beic offers complimentary bike storage, a bicycle jet washer, laundry facilities and more cycling reading material in the apartment than you could get through in a whole Summer's holiday. This all came as a nice surprise during our trip as our itinerary consisted of a weekend's mountain biking at the local Marin Trail and Coed y Brenin. Ty Beic easily scores 5 out of 5, I'd score it higher if I could and will most definitely be returning to explore even more of what the area has to offer.see more
The Barn at Cotmore Farm
Great holiday in a superb location

Fantastic week in a lovely barn conversion which was spacious and comfortable. The cottage was quiet and very private even though there were 2 other cottages on site. Super spot with lots of coastal walks nearby and within easy reach of Salcombe and Dartmouth which are well worth a visit. Piers was very friendly but not intrusive and left us to enjoy our holiday. Loved this area and hope to be back!see more
River Bank Cottage
Peaceful Gem

We spent a week over Christmas and really enjoyed this peaceful location. Our stay started off well with a welcoming plate of mince pies (thank you) on the table of the seasonally decorated cottage, with goodies in the fridge and tea/coffee available for a much needed cuppa after fighting the Friday holiday traffic. The cottage is well equipped with all mod cons and has a great view of the river and viaduct. We picked the cottage for its location, letting us take advantage of being able to park the car for a few days and do our sight-seeing of Whitby on foot (we are keen walkers). The cottage is a great base for travelling further afield to places such as Robin Hood's Bay, Snaith and Goathland (Heartbeat). If I feel the need to spend more time in Whitby, I would try to book this cottage again.see more
