“A real home from home!” We stayed for 9 nights in July and we could happily have stayed for another week. We hiked and cycled and enjoyed the super hot weather. It was lovely to relax out on the terrace in the evenings. The house had everything we nee

Oh Canada, oh Canada! You wouldn’t be blamed for thinking Canada is all snow-capped mountains, pristine lakes and enchanting nature. But this extraordinary country is also cosmopolitan and contemporary in parts, and its cities are just as worth exploring as its rich and varied landscapes. Welcome to Canada, one of the world’s greatest adventures.
The Wild Life
A road trip around Canada can feel like one breathtaking backdrop after another. As the second largest country on the planet, Canada is an assortment of breezy forests, serene lakes and snowy mountains. Take in the beauty of the Canadian Rockies, go horseback riding at an Albertan ranch, canoe with the whales in Nova Scotia or ski in British Columbia. Where better to spend time in nature?
Fare With Flair
Thanks to Canada’s enviable coastlines and crystal clear lakes, excellent seafood is to be expected at every turn. In British Columbia, it’s all about scallops and salmon accompanied by perfectly cooked fries. Head to Quebec and lobster is the catch of the day. The locals swear by adding a little melted butter for the perfect finish. And in Ontario? Pickerel reigns supreme. Just leave some room for a maple syrup-adorned dessert.
While its outdoorsy reputation is well-earned, Canada is also a cocktail of urban destinations. Vancouver, with its thriving cafe scene and walkable neighbourhoods, is a city everyone should spend some time in. But the same goes for the dynamic capital Toronto, where more languages than any other city in the world are spoken, and progressive Montreal with its myriad of creativity and cuisine.

It couldn't have been better
Absolutely immaculate, well appointed, comfortable, quiet, family friendly. We went as a family with three grown boys, and we all had a wonderful communal space, but yet room to get away and be quiet on our own as well. Perfect spot to walk to cross country ski and snow shoeing trails - even saw a few deer! Beds were wonderful. The kitchen had everything we needed - place setting for 12 I believe, including glass ware. We cooked all but one of our meals there, and didn't need anything. The Metro in town had more selection than my own store. And of course Mont Tremblant (about 10 minutes away) was fabulous. And he even decorated it for us for Christmas! Highly recommended. Thank you Nick. …
Percy Hill Vacation Home
A beautiful farm house and dream of returning
I have traveled throughout every corner of North America on a motorcycle, in a car, and on a train; 170,000 miles on a motorcycle in 6 years, 300,000 miles in a car for a total travel of more than 500,000 miles in 40 years. My experience staying at Percy Hill was the most memorable from all these places. Often, I lay in bed dreaming of someday returning. I still see the crystal blue sky in the cool April morning out the sun porch window, viewing the coast of Nova Scotia. I smell the fresh cooked bacon and eggs, and pancakes from the sun-lite kitchen. I still can taste the fresh fish and mussels from the market. My four teenagers loved the house and the vast space outdoors. The house is a small mansion, well equipped, modern, updated yet simple and clean, energy efficient (heat pump and wind generator), and spacey yet many places for small group discussions. You see my family came to America (Maine) 400 years ago, as farmers and sailors and as travelers, and recently (my generation) our family has a similar set up: 700 acres with a farm house (built 1812-3) in the middle of a working farm, which has been only in 3 families for 8 generations. I dreamed of visiting PEI since high school 40 years ago. And I love PEI and its people. Percy Hill has a special meaning to me. I dream of returning. I truly mean that. You too will have memorable experiences that will stay with you forever when staying at Percy Hill.
Sebastian is an excellent host, and did a wonderful job updating and maintaining the home. He is easy to work with and extremely accommodating.
I hope this helps you in deciding where to stay in PEI, for it took me months to research and decide where to stay. It was Sebastian's pictures, location, and these reviews that helped me to decide. I made the right decision. Thank you for reading my review. …

Toronto Beaches Amazing Upper Apt on Wineva Ave
Great place to relax and enjoy Toronto
A very nice, large apartment in a great bit of town. The owner was friendly and tried to help when he heard we had a problem with the parking permit website. The apartment was well equipped and it was helpful to have cooking essentials provided (oil, herbs, washing up liquid, etc.). The apartment is in a peaceful street but it was easy to get downtown to all the major attractions - the streetcars were very regular and take 30 mins to downtown Toronto. However, the beach area is very nice place to explore and eat, even in winter. This apartment is a couple of minutes from the beach and boardwalk - perfect for a relaxing stroll. …
Just book it, you won't regret it
We booked the loft on the basis of the great reviews, and we were not disappointed. It's central location means that everything is literally within a few minutes walk - great restaurants, such as Ferris' (next door), to the best pierogi you will taste outside of Poland, at Sult. Take a stroll around the harbour, or a visit to China Town, or try the Royal BC Museum. Wherever we went and whatever we saw, it was wonderful to call the 'Beating Heart Loft' ours for a little while. I could tell you all about the stylish eclectic furnishings, the fabulous kitchen, the great bathroom, and the heavenly bedroom but what I really want to say is 'book it, and find out for yourself'. Finally, from start to finish, Liza was friendly, really helpful, and deserves a special mention. We'll go back as soon as we can! …
