Oh Canada, oh Canada! You wouldn’t be blamed for thinking Canada is all snow-capped mountains, pristine lakes and enchanting nature. But this extraordinary country is also cosmopolitan and contemporary in parts, and its cities are just as worth exploring as its rich and varied landscapes. Welcome to Canada, one of the world’s greatest adventures.
The Wild Life
A road trip around Canada can feel like one breathtaking backdrop after another. As the second largest country on the planet, Canada is an assortment of breezy forests, serene lakes and snowy mountains. Take in the beauty of the Canadian Rockies, go horseback riding at an Albertan ranch, canoe with the whales in Nova Scotia or ski in British Columbia. Where better to spend time in nature?
Fare With Flair
Thanks to Canada’s enviable coastlines and crystal clear lakes, excellent seafood is to be expected at every turn. In British Columbia, it’s all about scallops and salmon accompanied by perfectly cooked fries. Head to Quebec and lobster is the catch of the day. The locals swear by adding a little melted butter for the perfect finish. And in Ontario? Pickerel reigns supreme. Just leave some room for a maple syrup-adorned dessert.
While its outdoorsy reputation is well-earned, Canada is also a cocktail of urban destinations. Vancouver, with its thriving cafe scene and walkable neighbourhoods, is a city everyone should spend some time in. But the same goes for the dynamic capital Toronto, where more languages than any other city in the world are spoken, and progressive Montreal with its myriad of creativity and cuisine.

Tranquil, waterfront cabin in Wellington
The cabin is absolutely amazing, decorated immaculately, with everything you could ever hope for even down to games and relaxing colouring books! Location on the lake is perfect to watch the sunsets and also to explore the local towns (by car). Chris and Janice are so welcoming and have a wealth of information about the area and are more than happy to share this. Would most definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing break or to explore the area further. …
Surf, Sunsets, Rainforest and Wildlife at its Best
Quiet, clean, spacious house - great location
This accommodation is better than the pictures. The rooms were spacious, clean and light. The kitchen was well equiped. Washing machine and dryer were useful. Location was great. Host came and met us soon after we arrived to welcome us and explain everything - she made helpful suggestions about the local area and where to walk. We loved staying here. Large garden at the back and barbecue, which unfortunately we never had the chance to use. …

Cottage in Hills, BC, Canada
Extended family vacation in BC
We stayed at the Cottage first week of August. The cottage was exactly as the description - we found no surprises. We were four people which was a perfect # to stay at the cabin comfortably. The kitchen was really well equipped which made it easy for dinners and cooking. Beds and linens, towels, etc were all in tact and made it a very nice stay. We loved the collection of music and my teenage daughter enjoyed the selection of Dvds as well. During our stay we spent time in New Denver and Silverton and the drive was a short 10 minute scenic drive. The beach was a short drive, very secluded and lovely, just at the edge of Slocan Lake. We will definitely be back again! Thank you Lorna, you were a wonderful host! …
House i - Central downtown Vancouver
House I has very good location at downtown Vancouver there are few blocks from the principal stores and public transportation. Our room 6 is big Enough and has properly stuffs to keep personal belongings and clothes. Kitchen has all you need , stove, freezer, and all you need for cooking. There are some things to improve ie the frequency for cleaning common areas like kitchen garbage can was full during several days whilst nobody take care of that. Bed sheets were not ironed so it looks like no cleaned. …
The Forest Yurt at Cabot Shores
Effortless and comfortable camping
The nights were cold so we had to wrap up warm and shiver on the way to the outside loo in the early hours. But the skies were crystal clear with easy star gazing and clean crisp air. A great outdoor experience with the comfort of indoor hot showers and a spacious indoor area for eating, talking, playing music and enjoying views out to sea. Very friendly hosts and staff, free am meditation session and soon to be yoga retreats on offer in the new magnificent building. I enjoyed my 2 nights here in October and the night time cold would not be an issue in the summer. …
Whitemud Hills Executive Home away from home
The perfect home from home
I booked this property as I was looking for somewhere to spend Christmas with my family, and it did not fail to impress! The property was very clean and tidy and provided everything we needed to enable us to travel with minimal belongings. The location was perfect and was close to main amenities (supermarket, pharmacy etc), as well as the local bus stop to enable us to travel without needing a car. The owners were on hand whenever we needed anything and were very friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this property if you are looking for a quiet getaway in a central location. …
