Properties on Holiday Lettings can be sorted/ranked in the following ways:
Orders properties using various data points, in particular: ratings, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, minimum number of nights, and data relating to the interest in/bookings of the property through us, including the advertiser’s rate of providing quotes to travellers who make enquiries. Other factors include price, property capacity, number of photographs, location, amenities, appearance in search results, page views, and the advertiser’s responsiveness and cancellation rate.
Price low to high / high to low
Orders properties based on either (i) the property’s minimum nightly price, if the traveller has searched without dates, or (ii) the average nightly price for the applicable week of the year, if the traveller has input dates.
Orders properties by total number of reviews attached to the listing (highest to lowest), irrespective of average score. Where there is a listing with the same number of reviews as another (or a listing with no reviews), properties are sorted according to their proximity to the searched location.
“Unspoiled Italy” The Palazzo is a jewel of a vacation locale. I have spent a fair amount of time in Italy but I did not know such unspoiled lovely places still existed there. The village is quaint; the Palazzo is majestic but the apartments still manage to be homey (very clean and comfortable); the surrounding area is wild and gorgeous. Mirella and Francesco are the most gracious hosts you could hope to find--truly charming old-school Italians who make you realize why Italy has been luring tourists for centuries. I highly recommend Francesco's wine tours-- he is very knowledgeable but not pretentious at all. All in all, one of the most welcoming destinations I have had the pleasure to experience as a traveler.
“A good base for travelling round Tuscany” The owners are very welcoming, providing pick up from the airport and return which was very much appreciated also the trips to the supermarket to stock up on supplies. A welcome pack which was again appreciated.
It is a good base for travelling around Tuscany either by train, bus or car, plenty of information provided on the area with bus and train timetables.
The accommodation is well presented and the owners have worked hard to revive the villa bringing it back to life from its unloved state. Lovely gardens in which to sit and relax, eat a meal, read a book or play table tennis. Reasonably priced self catering accommodation making it affordable to various groups of people.
Initially on arrival one may think you are a bit off the beaten track but you will be suprised and find the train and bus services are frequent and reasonably priced making it a good base for getting to quite a few places in a short space of time.
I would thoroughly recommend this villa for the reasons set out above and already have to a number of friends and aquaintances.
“A warm welcome, ideal location and quintessentially Italian villa - buonissima!” Donatella and Antonio were very generous hosts; welcoming us into their home and always happy to put themselves out to help.
The location was perfect for exploring Tuscony, either by car or by train from the nearby station. This was our first visit to this part of Italy and it has everything that one could want in a holiday - culture, beautiful beaches, excellent cuisine... Both Pisa and Florence are wonderful.
The villa is so typical of the houses in Italy - lots of space with most beautiful frescoes on the walls and ceilings - but the appartment was modern and well equipped.
“A little touch of heaven” Our stay at the Villa di Lupo was wonderful. Donatella and Antonio are magnificent hosts. Their love of the historic value of the villa is evident every time they speak of the villa. The restoration of the villa is very impressive.
We plan to make this our home base for our upcoming visits to Italy. I would love to bring the villa and it's proprietors to the US.
“Great get away With friends and family” Car required but easy acess on auto strada to places such as Perugia, passanago, Florence Rome etc.. Great base for Umbria and Tuscany. Everything a group of friends or family require to get away and spend time together in a beautiful property... Can't wait to visit again..
