“Great welcome and location” We were in Rome for Easter and this flat is in a perfect location as it is so close to the Vatican - literally 5 minutes walk. We were met by Maria Louise and she showed us how everything worked (wifi, tv etc) before taking us for a walk around the neighbouring streets so we could find, supermarket, metro, fresh food market, laundrette and suggestions for some good local restaurants. The flat was well equipped and we were able to cook some lovely meals after visiting the market. After one days hard sightseeing we were delighted to arrived back at the flat to find a three course meal waiting for us. Maria Louise had said she would drop off some home cooking but we weren't expecting such generosity. The rental cost is very reasonable for such a central position. Although it is on 1st floor there is a lift, plus a helpful and friendly doorman.

“Spacious, home-like, quiet 2 bedroom apartment near Vatican” My husband, myself and our two adult daughters stayed here for 3 nights when we first arrived in Italy from the States. The apartment was homey, very spacious, well-equipped, clean and comfortable and the location on a quiet, residential street near the Vatican was perfect. We felt like we were in a "real" (not heavily touristed) neighborhood but just a few blocks from the Vatican and an easy walk across the river to other Rome sights. One can access a bus near the apartment that goes through the centro historico and there is a supermercado a short walk from the apartment . Giovanna was an excellent host: she was attentive in just the right way and was so helpful in our getting our bearings in the city. Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again!

Lazio holidays

Lazio is the epicentre of Roman and Renaissance culture in Italy: fine art, rich history and unique attractions await under the Mediterranean sun. Lazio’s capital, Rome, could take weeks to explore by itself - it’s the Eternal City, after all. But to truly experience Lazio, you must make time to explore the idyllic Italian countryside.

Ancient Wonders

As the heart of the Roman Empire, Lazio hides countless cultural relics. The Colosseum is nearly 2,000 years old, and remains the largest amphitheatre ever built. Parts of the Roman Forum are older still. The Pantheon, meanwhile, is the best preserved of any Roman building - it’s still used today!

Two Great Cities

Nestled within Rome itself is the astonishing Vatican City. The seat of the Holy See, it’s a sovereign state in its own right and filled with artistic, architectural and religious wonders. The masterworks of Raphael, Michelangelo and Da Vinci are just some of the treasures housed here.

Quintessential Countryside

Imagine lazy afternoons in Mediterranean heat, wandering among rolling vineyards and olive groves. It’s all waiting for you in rural Lazio. If you tire of fine food, wineries and quiet contemplation, you could detour to Civita di Bagnoregio - an ancient Etruscan town perched on a volcanic plateau. There’s no better view in Lazio

Amazing apartment near the beach
Terracina Holiday

Terracina is a mix of old and new town next to the sea. The old town has loads of history dating back to Roman times and is located half way up a small mountain. The climb up the streets from the lower newer town is more than worth it for the history on show. The new town has a lot of apartments, like the one we stayed in, and has a typical Italian feel of being slightly un kept. We were 5-10 minutes walk from the long sandy beach and even though we were there at the end of October we went swimming several times here and further along the coast. The locals make a habbit of walking the promenade during the early evening and we were more than happy to do this interspersed with a meal or drink or ice cream. The town is roughly equidistant between Rome to the North and Naples to the South. If you re feeling adventurous you can drive to the toll motorway and get to either city in about 2 hours. If you are feeling particularly confident you can take on the insanity of local driving along the coast for a slower more challenging trip; cars either travel very slowly or very fast, there is little in between and the use of indicators is rare, which is why, when they are used, they seem to be left on for ages. If no car then catch a train (although we think a bus is needed to the closest rail station) for a fairly regular but popular inter city service. If you want something more local then there are many interesting towns, historical sites and natural areas within an hour as well as numerous beaches if the weather is good; which it was for the majority of our week where we had a couplebof thundery showers as we entered November but this is still better than what greeted us on our return back to the UK.see more

Fantastic Location

This apartment could not be better placed for everything in Rome! Quirky layout over several floors allowed four of us to have our own space. The two double bedrooms were amazing. The two singles are a little small but the beds are full size and comfortable. Only problem is that they share a very thin wooden partition which is a bit of an issue for snoring - we discovered this could be mitigated by moving one of the beds to the other side of the room. The apartment is accessed by private lift, which is great. When we arrived we were told this was the only access and that the stairs didn’t reach the apartment. Being a little worried about the prospect of getting out in an emergency we explored ourselves and discovered we had the key to another door which accessed the stairs - which was just as well since the lift broke down on the first day and had we not discovered the other door we would have been prisoners in the apartment. For health and safety reasons I think this should be clearly explained to guests on arrival. Apart from these considerations it was a wonderful apartment in great location.see more

Fantastic Apartment

A great combination of an excellent host and a fantastic apartment. Simone greeted us at the apartment, and took the time to show us around and to provide us with plenty of advice on how to get the best out of our stay in Rome. The apartment is very comfortable, well equipped and well located. Nice touches included a bottle of wine, two bottles of water, tea, coffee, sweets and biscuits. It is only a ten minute walk to the nearest Metro station and there are plenty of bus stops nearby. The local area has plenty of small shops, bars and restaurants. We would definitely recommend this apartment.see more

Supernice stay in Sermoneta

The apartment was very nice, clean and furnished. It’s in a very good location in Sermoneta. Marco, our host did his outmost to make our stay great. Even helped us when we had a problem with an iPad and had service set-up for us the same day. The pool is located 5 min from the house which we first thought would be an issue, but it’s located in a nice spot, clean and tidy with a snack bar right next to it. Great for kids. We would recommend staying at the apartment without hesitation. Thank you Marco!see more
Cottage by Lake Bracciano Rome
Just perfect!

We had a wonderful week here in September and didn’t want to leave! The cottage is absolutely perfect for a couple, compact and cozy with everything you need for a relaxing time and very reasonably priced too. The pool is a good size and the surrounding gardens are well tended with a great view to the lake. It was perfect sitting at night with a glass of wine or two enjoying the lights of Trevignano sparkling in the distance. The location is ideal - situated half way between the lake and Bracciano which has plenty of good restaurants but, like the other towns around the lake, finding a parking space can be a bit of a challenge. We tried several of the restaurants by the lake and in Bracciano but dining in the town square was special as the backdrop of the imposing castle is stunning and the food at Trattoria del Castello was superb too. Communication with the owner was excellent before, during and after our visit. Fiore was lovely and always available to answer questions, give suggestions or just for a chat and could not have been more welcoming and helpful. She was also interested to know if we had any suggestions for improvements and is intending on upgrading the kitchen, mosquito screens and mattress over the winter. Sadly Fiore has only one dog now, the beautiful Zaza, who is very friendly and gentle and came to say buongiorno to us every morning – maybe something to do with the box of dog treats we brought with us! We would highly recommend Fiore’s cottage as for us everything was just perfect and we are already looking forward to returning next year.see more
Cottage "La Dolce Vita"
Excellent!’n

The cottage is perfect for those looking for an authentic stay - catering to those touring neighbouring Lake Bracciano or simply wanting to lay poolside. The cottage provides great privacy, sharing a very large garden with the host’s house and one other cottage. Our host, Daria, was extremely kind and charismatic - she made us feel extremely welcomed, thank you Daria. I would highly recommend staying here - an extravagant place worth every penny.see more
