“Sunny apartment wih great views” A beautifully renovated and quiet apartment in the old part of town. My teenage girls studied for their exams while I explored the town and cooked sumptous meals in a well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful sea views from the balcony and terrace and a lovely place to watch the swifts fly.

Puglia holidays

If Tuscany is your go-to Italian destination but you’re looking for something a little quieter, Puglia is perfect. Romantic restaurants, quiet white-washed villages and secluded coves await in the heavenly heel of Italy’s boot.

A Treat For The Eyes

This beautiful region is full of awe-inspiring sights. Visit the ancient town of Otranto with its exquisitely decorated Cathedral, rocky coastal walks and glittering sea. If you’re not staying in a traditional trullio, head to the the Trulli of Alberobello to potter around the picturesque streets until the sun goes down. And if you love exploring castles, a trip to Castello Aragonese perched on a rocky islet near Ischia Porto.

Blissful Beaches

Puglia is home to some of the most beautiful and diverse beaches in Italy. Known as the ‘Maldives of Puglia’, Pescoluse beach is idyllic with its fine white sand and azure waters. The protected marine area and a nature reserve beach, Torre Guaceto, is a must for snorkelers and nature lovers while families will love the calm waters and salt pans at Margherita di Savoia beach.

Classic Cuisine

Many of Italy’s traditional dishes come from Puglia and the Salento. It’s luscious farmland and clean seas account for the cuisine embracing fresh local produce which is packed full of flavour. To see pasta being made in the streets, head to Bari - you might even get invited in one of the local’s houses for a steaming hot bowl of orecchiette (ear-shaped pasta)! Food is at the heart of Puglia’s social scene and evenings spent outdoors chatting over some smooth red wine while snacking on frisella (stone-baked bread), taralli (Italian pretzels) and pizzette (mini-pizzas) is a typical pastime.

Villa Nicola, seaside villa with pool, AirCon, free WiFi, owners live locally
Stunning villa and perfect location for relaxing Italian holiday

This was our second stay at one of Richard and Noirin's villas, so we already knew that the villa was going to be amazing. We were not disappointed - the villa itself was spotless and so well maintained. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the cooking equipment you could need. In addition to this the fantastic welcome basket that was left was enough to keep us going for a good few days. The villa has a washing machine, which was so handy having 2 children who constantly change their clothes! A large clothes airer and pegs are all provided. There is an area in the villa containing books and games to keep everyone entertained. The wifi connection is excellent, and there is also a TV in the villa. The outside area is fantastic - the kids loved the HUGE pool! There are so many different areas to relax both in the sun and shade. There is a wonderful barbecue area and plenty of seating areas to both eat and chill out in the sun. The outside toilet and shower are so handy, and are once again spotlessly clean. The pool is exceptionally well maintained, with Richard coming twice a week to clean the area. The information book provided in the villa is really well thought out and contains such valuable information about the local area and different activities available. In addition to this Richard and Noirin are always on hand if you have any queries or questions about local restaurants, great places to visit etc. They responded immediately to any questions that we texted to them and their knowledge on Lendinuso and the surrounding areas is fantastic. As hosts they have got the balance just right in terms of being at your disposal should you need it, but never being intrusive with it. The villa is set in a quiet road in a traditional village - perfect for exploring. There is a local bakery, butchers and fishmongers all providing a delicious range of fresh products. The beach is just a few minutes walk away and there are a number of bars and cafes along the coast where you can enjoy refreshments. We had a fabulous time here, and we will definitely be returning to the area in the future, and without doubt will be booking into one of Richard and Noirin's villas.see more
Villa Gemelli
Fantastic Villa

We had a great fortnight at Villa Gemelli, 2 adults and 3 young children. The villa was clean, tidy, so well equipped. The outdoor space is great, amazing pool which suited all abilities of swimmer. Good location a short drive from Ostuni. Fantastic pizza oven which we used a lot during our stay. Delicious fig and peach trees in the garden. We would highly recommend this place. Colleen the house manager was also extremely helpful, as was the information pack inside the villa.see more
Trullo Tranquillo Ostuni
Definitely Trullo tranquillo

If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday Trullo Tranquillo is the place for you! When you arrive the first time you wonder if you are ever going to find it. As previous reviewers have said it is on a hill at the end of a pretty rough narrow road! We most loved the fact that apart from sleeping we lived outside all the time we were there. The Trullo has a lovely terrace with a dining area and sitting area and you can lounge around the pool too. The situation is great as there are lots of interesting places within 30-45 mins. We had lovely trips to Ostuni, Martina Franca and Locorotondo, Alberobello, Monopoli, Cisternino. Lecce is a fabulous city and we took a train there from Ostuni (50 mins) as a break from the often crazy Italian driving. We visited beaches along the Adriatic coast too but they are not sandy beaches like our local Scottish ones ( admittedly the water is warmer) and we probably wouldn't rush back to them. Bari was interesting too. Don't miss the Ostuni Saturday market which has a fabulous array of shoes as well as the usual fruit veg, household stuff. We found that communication with Brendan, the owner, was excellent from the booking stage through to the accurate advice and instructions pre visit and Tom who looks after the property was also very helpful when we had an electricity hiccup. We will definitely be back!see more
NICE APARTMENT LE ZIE 2 WITH A SMALL TERRACE IN THE MODERN CENTER OF LECCE
Leecce

The owner was very helpful even though he was unable to meet us,as he was away with work. His parents greeted us and showed us around the apartment. The owner texted us and spoke with us on the phone giving us use information and there was lots of information in the apartment. There was a nice welcome pack which consisted of water, juices malbra toast, jams, fruit and biscuits. There was also products in the bathroom along with toilet paper. The apartment was a good size and the side balcony/terrace was a good size, excellent for morning coffee and an evening drink. The apartment was in a good location 10 mins from the old town of lecce, which is amazing at night, 8 mins from bus stop where we got a local bus to San Cataldo to the beach. 20 mins from train station and bus station where we got transport to visit Gallipoli,Otranto,Ostuni and Bari. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment suited our needssee more
Villa Lina
Lovely Villa, lovely people. The rental is a 2 small villas, a double and 2 doubles.

This is a bit out of the way in an area that seems a little run down. The location of the Villa is excellent being over-looking the sea, but there is a public access to the seaward an one landward side, not that they present a problem. The nearby sea-inlet is wonderul and close but can be crowded at weekends with limited access to the waterline...it is, however a wonderful swim. The local shop is friendly but only stocks the essentials, however, there is an Euro-Spin supermarket only 15 minutes away. The accomodation is 2 separate lockerble units. You need to lock in the 2 bedroom/kitchen unit and the lovely double garden unit at night. A car is a must, but, beware if you have not driven in southern Italy before! Antonio, Franscesco and Lina are excellent hosts and will help you all they can. Local wine is very cheap (5lts for 8Euro) and there are plenty of reasonable restaurants within 5 Kms.see more
Fantastic 5* Trullo Cicerone with private pool
Perfect place!

We have just returned from a week at the Trullo. It has everything you need for a week away and Sally the owner (as others have said) was so helpful before the trip. We took our toddler and the cot provided was lovely and clean. It’s about 25 mins to the coast and we spent 2 days at the Bambu club near Monopoli which has free access to the beach and a lovely restaurant/bar. You can park opposite the beach for a few euros. I would recommend a trip to Matera and Alberobello is lovely which is super close. If you want to go to Lecce and further south it’s quite a trek and there’s so much to see in this area we didn’t bother going. Everything in the towns shuts down from 2:30-7:30 ish and so we used that time to head to the beach- something to bear in mind when getting food etc. We had lovely lunches out and tended to get supper at the Villa as it was so lovely there. The nearest supermarket we found most helpful was Cette7. All in all we couldn’t fault our stay, and we would certainly recommend to others- loved it!see more
