“A small paradise at the end of a dirt track!!!” We had a magnificient time at Trullo Tranquillo.
It was a very quiet location, with a great view, a beautiful countryside all around but very close to a lot of touristic places and the sea.
The owner very generously let us pick the fruits that grow in the garden and so we took advantage of his offer and had the juiciest little pears, figs, barbary figs and lots of almonds.
My 6 year old developped a habbit of watching the stars from the roof terrasse at night.
The trullo was impeccably clean and a very welcoming environment.
I would go back tomorrow if I could!!!!
If Tuscany is your go-to Italian destination but you’re looking for something a little quieter, Puglia is perfect. Romantic restaurants, quiet white-washed villages and secluded coves await in the heavenly heel of Italy’s boot.
A Treat For The Eyes
This beautiful region is full of awe-inspiring sights. Visit the ancient town of Otranto with its exquisitely decorated Cathedral, rocky coastal walks and glittering sea. If you’re not staying in a traditional trullio, head to the the Trulli of Alberobello to potter around the picturesque streets until the sun goes down. And if you love exploring castles, a trip to Castello Aragonese perched on a rocky islet near Ischia Porto.
Puglia is home to some of the most beautiful and diverse beaches in Italy. Known as the ‘Maldives of Puglia’, Pescoluse beach is idyllic with its fine white sand and azure waters. The protected marine area and a nature reserve beach, Torre Guaceto, is a must for snorkelers and nature lovers while families will love the calm waters and salt pans at Margherita di Savoia beach.
Many of Italy’s traditional dishes come from Puglia and the Salento. It’s luscious farmland and clean seas account for the cuisine embracing fresh local produce which is packed full of flavour. To see pasta being made in the streets, head to Bari - you might even get invited in one of the local’s houses for a steaming hot bowl of orecchiette (ear-shaped pasta)! Food is at the heart of Puglia’s social scene and evenings spent outdoors chatting over some smooth red wine while snacking on frisella (stone-baked bread), taralli (Italian pretzels) and pizzette (mini-pizzas) is a typical pastime.

Ultimate seclusion with hosts who will do anything to help
We loved our 6 week stay at the Masseria. It's an amazing property with so much to explore, but the best experience was the quietness, late at night.
When we did have problems Ilaria, Gaga and Paolo went above and beyond to solve them - you cant really say that about many places.
My family and I will cherish the memories we made here - highly recommended. …
Private villa with large swimming pool amid extensive private walled gardens
Great villa, with fab pool
On the outskirts of Ostuni, great for exploring the area. The villa and grounds had plenty of space for our family holiday, with an amazing pool, bbq area, grounds with fruit trees and a shaded outside patio area.
Jacqueline, the owner, very quickly answered our email enquiries, and Daniela, our "meet and greet" neighbour, was extremely friendly, and very willing to make our stay as perfect as possible. …
Secluded Villa with very large pool, Wifi, air conditioning, near all amenities
Great outdoor space
The house in San Vito stands in very nice grounds. We were very wary of being bitten to death by mosquitos but actually there were far less mosquitos here than we had found on the Amalfi coast.
San Vito is a great little Town although it was quiet and difficult to navigate around.
There was lots to see in Puglia including Brindisi, Lecce, and many beautiful sandy beaches.
Overall this was a good holiday except for the poor double bed where my wife and I sunk towards each other on terrible springs and an intermittent Internet access. …

Thank you Michele for making us feel so welcome and accommodating our arrival and departure times. …
Stunning refurbished apartment in central location
Such a treat!
What a wonderful week we had! Ostuni was the perfect place for a Half Term holiday. We felt instantly welcome and relaxed in the pretty unassuming city. The flat was a lovely combination of luxury and simplicity: very clean with modern appliances and tasteful decor, a king size bed, 2 balconies and a roof terrace with fascinating views. It was ideal for a couple - comfortable and cosy - and a great location. At the host's recommendation, we enjoyed day trips to Alberobello and Polignano a Mare, as well as days exploring the city's Centro Storico (with generous helpings of excellent food and Negroamaro!) We would definitely return for another restorative break at any time of the year. …
