“Wonderful Holiday with all the trimmings” Trulli Carla is a large, spacious and nicely furnished historical house, set in olive groves in Southern Italy. It was ideal for our family with two large double and twin bedrooms with private bath, plus a smaller room en-suite for Grannie. The children loved sleeping in the "alcove" and playing in the pool all day. The grounds are spacious with lots of trees and land around to provide endless adventure for the kids. We loved the local towns including Ostuni, Ceglie Messapica, Cisternino, Oria and Lecce. We took a day trip to Matera which was amazing plus a day out at Alberobello. There is lots to see and do here, including the Zoo Safari which provided the usual holiday seaside resort roller coasters, albeit on a small scale. Puglia is a lovely region, unspoilt and still very cheap. We were amazed by the quality of the restaurants and the food is amazing. The best pizze is in Ceglie at Montovicolo and La Locanda, which also has a huge menu and is open every day except Monday. We never paid more than about €5 each! Beware the anti pasti menus, as they serve enough food to feed a small army and we seldom managed to get to the main course! We would recommend Trulli Carla for any family looking for a peaceful gentle holiday in a lovely, well equipped, comfortable house. The trulli are extremely cute and the children have not stopped talking about their fantastic holiday.

“Sunny apartment wih great views” A beautifully renovated and quiet apartment in the old part of town. My teenage girls studied for their exams while I explored the town and cooked sumptous meals in a well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful sea views from the balcony and terrace and a lovely place to watch the swifts fly.

Puglia holidays

If Tuscany is your go-to Italian destination but you’re looking for something a little quieter, Puglia is perfect. Romantic restaurants, quiet white-washed villages and secluded coves await in the heavenly heel of Italy’s boot.

A Treat For The Eyes

This beautiful region is full of awe-inspiring sights. Visit the ancient town of Otranto with its exquisitely decorated Cathedral, rocky coastal walks and glittering sea. If you’re not staying in a traditional trullio, head to the the Trulli of Alberobello to potter around the picturesque streets until the sun goes down. And if you love exploring castles, a trip to Castello Aragonese perched on a rocky islet near Ischia Porto.

Blissful Beaches

Puglia is home to some of the most beautiful and diverse beaches in Italy. Known as the ‘Maldives of Puglia’, Pescoluse beach is idyllic with its fine white sand and azure waters. The protected marine area and a nature reserve beach, Torre Guaceto, is a must for snorkelers and nature lovers while families will love the calm waters and salt pans at Margherita di Savoia beach.

Classic Cuisine

Many of Italy’s traditional dishes come from Puglia and the Salento. It’s luscious farmland and clean seas account for the cuisine embracing fresh local produce which is packed full of flavour. To see pasta being made in the streets, head to Bari - you might even get invited in one of the local’s houses for a steaming hot bowl of orecchiette (ear-shaped pasta)! Food is at the heart of Puglia’s social scene and evenings spent outdoors chatting over some smooth red wine while snacking on frisella (stone-baked bread), taralli (Italian pretzels) and pizzette (mini-pizzas) is a typical pastime.

Casa Mandorlina
Beautiful villa/Trulli in a beautiful scenic setting

Located away from the main road on hill overlooking the Contrada. This villa is very tranquil, clean and well equipped. The owners Wendy and Louis send you lots of information from how to get there in a very detailed instructions, to everything the villa has. It is well equipped and your looked after by Bob and a Helga from Belgium who look after the place when the owners are not around. Nothing was too much trouble and Louis contacted us to make sure we had no complaints. A personal touch. There is detailed information of nearby area of fabulous Ostuni and surrounding places, to beaches to explore, supermarkets and restaurants. My husband and I are building A Trullo not Far from here and having to work while we sorted out our own business Casa Mandorlina suited our needs, with WIFI and comfortable accomodation that meant after a hard day we could relax. Listening to the sounds Of the countryside and people in other villas enjoying them evenings this is a lovely place to stay. You will feel right at home the moment you are here and I highly recommend staying. A car is a must and go explore. Thanks Wendy and a Louis for letting us enjoy your 2nd home and being there when we needed questions answered. Regards Mariasee more

And relax........

We have just returned from our 3rd stay at Villa Azzurra and we have booked to go again next year already. I can’t rate the villa highly enough. It has everything you need and the pool is amazing. It takes just 10 minutes to walk to the village of Torre san Gennaro and the beach. We don’t bother hiring a car as we can get everything we need from the small supermarket and bakery. We eat out every evening at the local restaurants which are excellent and so reasonable. This is the real Italy and not commercialised in the slightest! Be prepared to use a translation App if you can’t speak Italian as not a lot of English is spoken in the village. Richard and Noirin are superb hosts who will go above and beyond to make your holiday go as smoothly as possible. With the uncertainty of our trip due to COVID-19, they were amazingly understanding and reassuring. We cannot wait to go again next year.see more
TRULLI OF THE MAGNOLIA
Great location, great villa, but...

This place is situated in an isolated location, surrounded by beautiful olive, fig and almond trees. The property offers loads of parking space, a big open outdoors "al fresco" dining, nice rooms and a medium size swimming pool. This has been our second summer in this villa just outside Monopoli. We've rated the villa four because we believe the price doesn't justify what you get. The villa wasn't equipped with all essentials when we turned up, these included: • no toaster • no kitchen knifes • no iron or ironing board • some lights around the villa were not working or partially working • one out of the three swimming pool lights were not working • Wi-Fi wasn’t great • corner pavement slab around swimming pool loose We had to contact Trulli & Dimore about the above and they managed to rectify some of the issues. For sure, the villa could be equipped with an welcome/information pack including instructions on appliances and facilities as when asked the operator didn’t know all the facts about the facilities offered. We were very lucky to have the owners around to help with the above. The villa is a gem all the same, attention to detail is a must ensuring all facilities/amenities are checked thoroughly prior to arrival and any maintenance repaired to a high standard. This amplifies our concerns regarding the value for money as the price we paid did not reflect the high standard expected, this is a responsibility by both owners and Trulli & Dimore.see more

Good facilities with great pool

Lovely stay in Richard’s spotless villa, well equipped, very comfortable bed and Brilliant outside space. Lovely welcome basket and host organised shopping for us prior to our arrival. Lots of nice touches such as washing & dishwasher tablets , shampoo etc and with Covid situation antibacterial gel on entry and certificates showing cleaning standards. The pool is great and a lovely sandy beach 5 mins walk. The village has a lovely bread shop, butchers and small supermarket. It’s a very quiet location so great if you just want to chill, however easy access to Brindisi airport (25mins) and Other main roads to southern Puglia.see more
Villa with Trullo and Private Pool in Puglia in Ceglie Messapica, Salento (BR)
Beautiful Villa

The villa is very spacious and well equipped; it was spotlessly clean. Its perfect for families or a group of friends. The pool is fantastic and the cleanest pool we have ever had. The owners were fantastic as we struggled to find the villa (as TomTom wouldn't accept address, so google maps better) and they arranged for the housekeeper to come and collect us; they also arranged for a further car hire when we damaged ours. Communication was always excellent. Thanks again Riccardo and Frederica Best wishessee more
Penthouse 14 - indipendent Suite Lecce on roofs
Absolute gem in center of Lecce

I cannot recommend this apartment enough. The location, the contact with the charming Emilia and her husband Felice, the spotless apartment and lastly but not least: the amazing and huge terrace. I think I have never seen such a beautiful terrace, that is obviously taken care of with lots of love. It is absolutely a gem! You get spoiled, while every time you come back, you get embraced by this place. Lecce is a great city, I could go on and talk about the lovely people, great restaurants, impressive culture and history and so on. But this is a review of the apartment and I want to finish by thanking Emilia for all the work she puts in to make sure you can enjoy the apartment and terrace to the fullest. She is there if you have any questions or needs and makes you feel more than welcome. I would love to go back and will recommend this apartment to everyone who wants to enjoy Lecce to it's fullest.see more
