Puglia holidays

If Tuscany is your go-to Italian destination but you’re looking for something a little quieter, Puglia is perfect. Romantic restaurants, quiet white-washed villages and secluded coves await in the heavenly heel of Italy’s boot.

A Treat For The Eyes

This beautiful region is full of awe-inspiring sights. Visit the ancient town of Otranto with its exquisitely decorated Cathedral, rocky coastal walks and glittering sea. If you’re not staying in a traditional trullio, head to the the Trulli of Alberobello to potter around the picturesque streets until the sun goes down. And if you love exploring castles, a trip to Castello Aragonese perched on a rocky islet near Ischia Porto.

Blissful Beaches

Puglia is home to some of the most beautiful and diverse beaches in Italy. Known as the ‘Maldives of Puglia’, Pescoluse beach is idyllic with its fine white sand and azure waters. The protected marine area and a nature reserve beach, Torre Guaceto, is a must for snorkelers and nature lovers while families will love the calm waters and salt pans at Margherita di Savoia beach.

Classic Cuisine

Many of Italy’s traditional dishes come from Puglia and the Salento. It’s luscious farmland and clean seas account for the cuisine embracing fresh local produce which is packed full of flavour. To see pasta being made in the streets, head to Bari - you might even get invited in one of the local’s houses for a steaming hot bowl of orecchiette (ear-shaped pasta)! Food is at the heart of Puglia’s social scene and evenings spent outdoors chatting over some smooth red wine while snacking on frisella (stone-baked bread), taralli (Italian pretzels) and pizzette (mini-pizzas) is a typical pastime.

Villa with Private Pool in Monopoli for 8 guests
Excellent house in a wonderful setting

House very well equipped, decorated with taste and with very spacious and usable common areas. The house is located on a lot of wooded land and has a very nice and sunny pool. Extraordinary welcome from the hosts, Mariagrazia, Giannamaria and Massimo, who were attentive to us throughout the stay. Thank you very much to the three of you! In short, house totally recommendedsee more

A due passi dal Mare: Apartment in Monopoli with three bedrooms
Beautiful Puglia - amazing apartment

Apartment was amazing - so spacious and modern. Loved the 2 balconies with sea and hill views. Perfect location - just minutes walk from beautiful beaches and the old town. Lots of shops and cafes on your doorstep. Loved the area with some of the prettiest towns and scenery, especially the old town Monopoli, Polignano a Mare and Alberobello. We will be back. Thank you Michele for making us feel so welcome and accommodating our arrival and departure times.see more
Tenuta Placella with swimming pool and lovely garden. 5 km from sandy beach
A perfect stay for a special birthday celebration

There were 8 of us staying here beginning of June. The villa has two double bedrooms upstairs and two double bedrooms downstairs, three with on suite and one with bathroom right next to it. There is also a 5th shower room, newly refurbished, next to the larger kitchen area. We were all so pleasantly surprised, the villa turned out to be so much better than we expected! Actually, it was more or less perfect for our needs. The rooms were fine, bathrooms all of good standard, living areas large and the terrace areas also of great size, the swimming pool area absolutely beautiful and the gardens and orchard lovely and secure. There was even an outbuilding with 2 washing machines! The villa is in the countryside, surrounded by olive groves and there is not very much in the nearby village, however S. Vito dei Normanni is within short driving distance for super markets and a lot of the main attractions - Ostuni, Alberobello, Grotte di Castellana, Brindisi, the beaches to mention some, are all within easy driving distance - and Matera (a must see) is just over an hour's drive away. Word of caution - we followed our sat nav and it was useless, taking us along tiny dirt tracks, when it would have been much easier and more sensible to follow road signs. To top it all, we celebrated a big birthday during our stay, and Pino and his team provided a superb birthday meal (with a cake), and we also booked a 'Pizza night' with a chef, also brilliant. We continued our holiday in a villa located in the heel of Italy, and although it was fine, Tenuta Placella was our favourite. A big thank you from all of us to Pino and his team for making our stay feel so special.see more
Trullo Bugello with private pool
Perfect place!

We have just returned from a week at the Trullo. It has everything you need for a week away and Sally the owner (as others have said) was so helpful before the trip. We took our toddler and the cot provided was lovely and clean. It’s about 25 mins to the coast and we spent 2 days at the Bambu club near Monopoli which has free access to the beach and a lovely restaurant/bar. You can park opposite the beach for a few euros. I would recommend a trip to Matera and Alberobello is lovely which is super close. If you want to go to Lecce and further south it’s quite a trek and there’s so much to see in this area we didn’t bother going. Everything in the towns shuts down from 2:30-7:30 ish and so we used that time to head to the beach- something to bear in mind when getting food etc. We had lovely lunches out and tended to get supper at the Villa as it was so lovely there. The nearest supermarket we found most helpful was Cette7. All in all we couldn’t fault our stay, and we would certainly recommend to others- loved it!see more
Penthouse 14 - indipendent Suite Lecce on roofs
Absolute gem in center of Lecce

I cannot recommend this apartment enough. The location, the contact with the charming Emilia and her husband Felice, the spotless apartment and lastly but not least: the amazing and huge terrace. I think I have never seen such a beautiful terrace, that is obviously taken care of with lots of love. It is absolutely a gem! You get spoiled, while every time you come back, you get embraced by this place. Lecce is a great city, I could go on and talk about the lovely people, great restaurants, impressive culture and history and so on. But this is a review of the apartment and I want to finish by thanking Emilia for all the work she puts in to make sure you can enjoy the apartment and terrace to the fullest. She is there if you have any questions or needs and makes you feel more than welcome. I would love to go back and will recommend this apartment to everyone who wants to enjoy Lecce to it's fullest.see more
