“Beautiful views, nice pool and good apartment.” The team were lovely and helpful(great tip for a fantastic dinner down the road). Excellent folder in the apartment providing information on Italy, Como and plenty of things to do. The folder was a great help when planning trips. The apartment has a good size for a family of four. Having the pool was great too. Quite a drive up the narrow lanes but the views more than make up for that. Gelateria is very good and restaurants in Argegno are good too. For shopping in a supermarket you need to drive a while but it can easily be done after a visit to another town and sightseeing. What we liked best: views!! pool, remoteness, big garden, surroundings(Lake Como)
What we liked least: price (high season though in August), craftsmanship in some areas
Would we come back? Yes!
Thank you Beverley and Jonathan
“Perfect Lake Como Hideaway” I have stayed at the Casa Blevio twice now, once in mid 2009 and once in mid 2010. The apartment was clean, well stocked, and benefits from magnificent views over lake Como. The agent was friendly and helpful. The owners have gathered a large amount of travel and day trip literature which proved to be of great assistance in planning our daily activities.
Reasonably frequent buses (usually every hour) connect Blevio with Como and the closest ferry stop at Torno. Blevio itself has a number of attractions. A restaurant called "Stendhal" had just openned on the lakeside when we last visited and was very good and reasonably priced. There are also public tennis courts and a water skiing centre, although the tennis courts didn't appear to be open when we were there.
All in all, the Casa Blevio is a perfect hideaway on lake Como. It is close enough to the major attractions in Como, Bellagio etc, but situated in a small and peaceful village with great views over the lake.
“Well equipped villa in great location” We really enjoyed our stay at La Casa sul Lario which is on the shore front at Gravedona. The house is very comfortable with good facilities and was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay.
We were greeted by Fosca and her mother; Fosca was a great help during our stay.
Gravedona seems to be less 'touristy' than other villages on the lake which suited us very well. We ate at a couple of good restaurants in Gravedona and also used the local chef recommended by the villa's owner, Rudy; the food was delicious.
We used the ferry service and also rented boats from the nearby Donga (walking distance along the lake shore) to visit other villages on the lake. We would also recommend driving up into the villages in the mountains for walking and/or lunch.
“superb location overlooking the lake” A clean and bright apartment in a pretty setting with great views overlooking lake como. it has a well equipted open plan kitchen including dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, tv and wifi.
several good restaurants within walking distance. The pretty town of Bellagio is a short drive away.
Lake Como in Italy is one of the most visually stunning areas. The incredible sights, both of architectural construction and natural formations, have to be seen to be believed. Book your next holiday rental in the Lake Como area and see for yourself.

romantic house in the wood with a spectacular view
Thoroughly recommend the house in the woods (just be aware of the roads)
The first thing to highlight is the amazing views over Como which repeatedly absorbs the attention. The seated decking area has just this fantastic backdrop. The house is chic with designer bathrooms, the rooms are tastefully furnished with high-quality wall prints.
To manage your expectations the caution would be that once you have arrived by car you leave it parked in the garden drive until it's time to leave. Instead, use the local funicular railway. For downward journeys, there is a halfway stop which means you walk down to it (it does mean skirting around the ticket barrier and purchasing a ticket at the bottom). You are then near to the heart of Como and its a shortish walk to the Ferry terminal. On return, you go to the top station and then walk down to the house.
There is really only one way to drive to the house and that is from Como on the Via per Brunate and the Via per Como. Even then turning around the sharp 180 degree bends can be challenging to the non-local, and the roads can narrow (so the bigger your car the more challenging it becomes) (I am glad we did not fall for the Avis rouse of boot space vs luggage upgrade ploy). The final roads to the house can be a bit confusing. It transpires that Sonia the owner will often arrange to meet guests in Brunate so they can follow her to the house.
If you see a feasible route from Cassano on the SP37 DON’T TAKE IT. At some points the road narrows (between thick walls) to such an extent that you have to take your wing mirrors in (the bigger the car the narrower the width).
Would thoroughly recommend the house in the woods (just be aware of the roads). …

Lovely apartment but a bit noisy
The apartment is well located and Lenno is a great base for exploring Lake Como. The apartment is really comfortable & well appointed with everything you need, including a lovely pool and pool chairs. We were welcomed by friendly neighbours, who couldn't have been more helpful. However, the property is let down by the fact it is adjacent to a surprisingly busy road , the noise from which meant we didn't sleep well during our holiday. …
The apartment was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a truly special holiday. The view was incredible! The basement area was spacious and a real surprise, a fab space to dine and for the kids to hang out. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen area was ample and had everything you could need. Again the view should be mentioned along with the spacious patio where we were able to eat, drink and enjoy the sights of the lake. We will definitely be back... …

“Breathtaking Views, Modern, spacious, clean. Will not disappoint”.
Paul & Nicola are the perfect hosts, they are very welcoming and the apartment has everything you could wish for! We arrived to an array of goodies including a delicious bottle of Red wine, which were all appreciated.
The gorgeous apartment is in the best location and the views are breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Lake Como without hesitation & can’t wait to return. …
Villa La Ruga
Outstandingly Beautiful & Fantastic Francesco !
If only we could give this 10*s ! Amazing ! A wonderful villa in a beautiful location ! Very private and secluded yet less than 1km from the port of Argegno and it’s pretty square with many restaurants and an ice cream parlour ! Regular ferry rides on rapid, steam and normal services available to most other ports on Lake Como ! Also the funivia cable car to Pigra is only 1 km away through the quaint village paths ...
Spacious bedrooms with air conditioning in 4 of bedrooms and so much space in the rest of the house that no one ever felt on top of one another. A table tennis room and laundry was a great addition ! A bar and huge dining area aswell as the table in the kitchen were available but we chose to sit outside and look at the stunning views morning, noon and night !
The space outside was sensationally planned out and, with direct access to the lake through the boathouse, it’s like having your own huge private pool ! Security is great with electric gates and thecilla is not overlooked at all from any angle ... other than out on the water
Francesco is the best host we have ever had on a trip and he couldn’t have been anymore helpful ! So friendly and welcoming and such a pleasure to meet ! Genuinely excited to share his grandparents lakeside home to those who have booked... we wish we could have stayed longer ! …
Holiday home in Lake Como village - Il Campanello
Sparkling lake views!
What better way to start the day than flinging open the shutters to see Lake Como glistening in front of you! This traditional stone apartment is embedded in an old part of the village - you have to walk the last few metres, leaving the car behind. There is a very useful garage half way up the hill (but don't come in an estate!). The apartment is fully equipped, clean and very comfortable. The terrace is great to relax on and feel part of the Italian community. There are two very good restaurants nearby, one right down on the water's edge (Creme Caramel - but you have to book...just pop in, as they speak English!) and the other in town (Da Luigi's). It's a useful base to visit Menaggio, where you can take the ferry to reach Varenna, Bellagio, Villa Carlotta, or to drive along the lake, eg to Como or to visit villas. Kate is a responsive and informative host, readily available by text/email if needed. Highly recommended! …
