“Perfect Lake Como Hideaway” I have stayed at the Casa Blevio twice now, once in mid 2009 and once in mid 2010. The apartment was clean, well stocked, and benefits from magnificent views over lake Como. The agent was friendly and helpful. The owners have gathered a large amount of travel and day trip literature which proved to be of great assistance in planning our daily activities.
Reasonably frequent buses (usually every hour) connect Blevio with Como and the closest ferry stop at Torno. Blevio itself has a number of attractions. A restaurant called "Stendhal" had just openned on the lakeside when we last visited and was very good and reasonably priced. There are also public tennis courts and a water skiing centre, although the tennis courts didn't appear to be open when we were there.
All in all, the Casa Blevio is a perfect hideaway on lake Como. It is close enough to the major attractions in Como, Bellagio etc, but situated in a small and peaceful village with great views over the lake.
“Great Apartment-Great Hospitality” Cristiano and his wife are very gracious hosts and will go above and beyond for your stay in Bellagio. The apartment is equipped with everything you need for your stay. We had little kids with us and the apartment was perfect for them. They had toys, books, movies and anything else that will make the little ones comfortable.
There are views from every window and the balcony is perfectly placed to be able to enjoy the beauty of Lake Como. We were able to view a firework show from the comfort of the balcony.
The food they provide you is AMAZING!
Great wi-fi access.
The walk to town isn't too bad. Adults can make it fine. Kids on the way home can be a bit of a challenge as it is a lot of stairs.
Driveway is a bit narrow so if you drive make sure you bring your smaller vehicle. American sized mid-size and up are a bit to big to fit up the driveway. If you do bring your mid-size make sure you take it extra, extra slow and be prepared for creative turns so you don't scratch up the sides. Anything larger and you won't make it to the house.
Overall we will be returning!
